If we are playing a back 3, I'd stick Pearce in there as captain and move Bielik into midfield instead of Williams. That way, you get Bielik and Cullen on the ball much more often. I don't think it's going to be that pretty on Sunday so I think Pearce's organisation could be important; plus, in the middle of a back 3, he doesn't need to be dragged into wide areas.
I disagree I think having 6 defenders by trade on we’re showing them too much respect, forget their last two games they’re shite at the back, Pompey didn’t have tie arse to go for the jugular.
Couldn't agree with you more on that. Basically the team that outplayed Luton recently apart from Djiksteel in it for Solly, which I would also agree with although Solly's experience may help.
Sunderland have shown that their defence is a strength at this level, but that team is a good few notches above the level. We shouldn't be defensive and try to out defend a defensive team. We have to impose our pace and quality on them.

Yes play to our strengths, no dramatic changes for the size of the game, go in as we know many a time in this league to attack it worked against the Pompey’s and Luton’s.
I'd start with Vetokele, if he's fit. If we were to use him as a sub for Parker later in the match and he then pulls up injured, we are then down to just Taylor up front. If Vetokele starts, I'd also start with Albie in midfield. I think he'd thrive on the big Wembley pitch and may split their defence with some delicious through balls for Vetokele and Taylor to run onto. The occasion may prove to be too much for young Albie, but one of his killer passes could win us the match.
The home game against Sunderland started to turn in our favour when Morgan began to run at them with the ball late in the first half.
Bowyer has to make a decision about who he thinks can stand the pressure. Last Friday there were players like Sarr who have been great for months who looked hesitant. If Bowyer thinks this game will be mainly a bottle job he should have Solly, Pearce and Pratley in the team. If he thinks we will win it through superior skill then it would be Sarr, Dijksteel and Morgan. I suspect he will start with the flair players and make a call when he sees how things are turning out. Or he may have already seen enough last week to go for experience over flair.
Tough call.
I think the reason we bottled it last Friday was because we scored too early and effectively took the score to 2 nil. That's always a dangerous scorline especially if the other team pulls a goal back quickly, as Doncaster did. The added pressure of the occasion and eventual prize really affected some of them quite badly. But some young players actually thrive on the big stage, I remember Paul Allen in the cup final many years ago, so hopefully Albie will, if he gets his chance. But as you say, Bowyer will know better than us, the mental strength of his players.
Basically we fear players freezing and consequently even the contest out. No way! Play your best team. Sarr has to be in that! Prately had a great game on Friday, but he is somebody to use later if needed.
I really hope that Sarr, Bauer and Bielik don't all have off-games like they did on Friday. Maybe Bauer's mind was very slightly elsewhere; that shouldn't be the case on Sunday. I'm now in England and will no doubt get more nervy as the game approaches. I'd expect Williams to replace Morgan in an otherwise unchanged line-up.

Yeah i'd much rather have Williams to replace Morgan, he is a class player and has a level of experience Albie doesn't. I wouldn't be surprised to see Pratley start however.
Let the wing-backs have plenty of licence to roam forward as there's plenty of cover with the three centre-backs and Bielik could drop back if needed, Lyle will go wherever he wants, Josh and Joe can attack from the middle.
Or, if we revert to the 4-4-2 diamond:
Phillips
Iron Willy | BeckenBauer (c) | HRS BeckenSarr the Enforcer | Ben Purr
Solid formation but need the full backs to push up a bit as the danger with the diamond is that the midfield two can't cover much width, especially on a big pitch like Wembley's.
I understand people's concerns about Igor (should he start instead of Parker so that if he goes crook we've got a sub up our sleeve to replace him) but I think if he's fit he would be the perfect impact substitute: a pacy striker against a tiring (and, frankly, not very good) defence.
We have played far too well this season, and especially over the last three months, to throw this away now; the Mackems, on the other hand, have stumbled along since January and barely limped through the semis against Pompey. The Charlton faithful are up and about and enthusiastic; the Sunderland lot just seem dis-spirited with the way the season's gone.
I would love to see a Naby Sarr 35-yard thunderbolt into the top corner at the Charlton end as that would wipe out his unfortunate penalty miss last week and cement his place into Addicks folklore but I think our goalscorers will be Lethal Lyle and Super Joe in a not-as-comfortable-as-it-should-be 2-0 win.
I was quietly confident until oohaah's posts got in my head. I now think we'll lose, but am determined to enjoy myself to the max. Let's face it I might not see us at Wembley again and if I do I'll probably be pissing my pants (literally).
If tickets arrive, transport works, and I am sitting with my family in Block 529 (bring your own oxygen) ten minutes before kick-off with the sun shining it will feel like a victory before a ball has been kicked.
Think we might just click and for once we can enjoy a straight-forward win.

We must not defend too deep, let Sar or Bielik run through the middle.
No time to dither.
We must take the game to them and have a go !!!
Please win...

That would be a proper interview.
They'll have more chances to play at Wembley if they focus and work on their potential
Granted the game can pass him by at times but off the bench he could be key to finding that defence-splitting pass.
As a reward you can have 10 weeks off, please report for duty again on August 1st
If Lord Bowyer continues with a back three:
BeckenBauer | Pearce (c) | HRS BeckenSarr the Enforcer
Iron Willy | Krystian's Bollocks | Ben Purr
Cullen | Super Joe
Lethal Lyle | Parker
Subs: Maxwell, Solly, Pratley, Albie, Reeves, Gorgeous George, Iiiiiiigggggggooooooooorrrrrrr.

Come on you Addicks!
In Lord Bowyer we trust.
I decided to keep @Leuth happy instead.
