It's been a pretty good year for London sides. Arsenal, Chelsea & Spurs in European finals, us & Orient promoted & the scum avoiding relegation.

This is the subject that just keeps on giving !!!

Post Office doesn't dictate what council an area is in

Its in the London Borough of Bexley - that means it's in a London Borough - just like Southwark, Tower Hamlets, Kensington etc etc etc

Its a fact - upsetting though it may be for some

    Fulham relegated though!
  • Not sure you’d find many arsenal fans calling it a pretty good year, or even an okay year..

People from actual London know that anywhere with a DA postcode isn’t in London.
    What's 'actual London' then ?

Would you regard Royal Borough of Greenwich as being in London ?

    But Croydon/Palace is in Surrey..LOL.
  • I used to live in Welling, Kent. Bought my first house in Crayford, Kent because I could not afford Bexleyheath, Kent.

The schools in the Welling area were run (badly) by Kent CC.

Is it now the London borough of Kent? Why did nobody tell me? I demand they give it all back! Bloody Londoners.

Parts of Royal Borough of Greenwich have DA postcodes - can we agree that postcodes are a red herring on this matter now ?

Postcodes trump Borough council boundaries as any postman, delivery driver and paper boy will tell you.

Mottingham with an M is obviously London. I lived there for 12 years and we had an SE9 postcode but Bromley Borough Council.

Grove Park is obviously Kent and rightly had a BR (as in Bromley, not British Rail) postcode, but London Borough of Lewistan was the council. And I should know, I run the shop up there next to the BR (as in British Rail, not Bromley) Station for long enough.

  • can tell the season is over.........................
  • So how did Bromley do then.........
  • Anything over 6 miles as the Crow flies from the City of London is not London to me...
  • Anything over 6 miles as the Crow flies from the City of London is not London to me...
Using that logic Spurs are therefore not a London team
  • Plus the centre of London is Charing Cross / Trafalgar Square - this is the point all road distances from London (i.e. on the M1 where it would have a sign saying 200 miles to London)

So if we say 6 miles as crow flies from there, Charlton isn't in London
  • Welling is within the London Borough of Bexley and the historic county of Kent, and is approximately 10.5 miles (16.9 km) east-southeast of Charing Cross, the traditional centre of London
  • Anything over 6 miles as the Crow flies from the City of London is not London to me...
Using that logic Spurs are therefore not a London team
I chose the city as we're much closer to there than Palace are.

Going by Trafalgar Square, we're only 0.5 miles closer...
