Pakistan could lose one of those - they are quite a hit or miss team. probably won't but they could!
  • The good news is that Jason Roy has been running in training and took part in net practice.

Sri Lanka 5 down which is good for England. Still think 1 win will sneak us through.
If Pakistan beat Afghanistan & Bangladesh, we need to win both games.
I think we need to win both games.
1 win and a draw would be enough, could all pray for rain next week if we beat India.

Bangladesh could still qualify too and won't be easy opponents for Pakistan.

Did anyone see Farbrace on The Debate last night? A great insight into this England team. You'd have thought he was still employed by the ECB! He made some very strange comments.

Good post .. Not so much strange perhaps, but blinkered. However it must be difficult for one who was so recently in 'the tent' to now be accused of pissing into it

Anyone who has access to the 'Times' today ? .. Good piece by Matt Dickinson headlined 'If only coaches would admit mistakes' .. in this particular context U-21 coach, Boothroyd justifying his decision to omit star player Phil Foden from the vital game v Romania which his team lost and were therefore eliminated from the Euro Championship competition.
We all make mistakes and some are more reluctant than others to 'fess up'. Dickinson has a point though, it's a rare occurrence when any pro manager/coach says the magic words mea culpa, and that's just the Italians ((:>)

We have just entered the knockout stages a couple of weeks earlier than anyone else - 4 wins makes us World Champions

No rain forecast in Durham for 10 days.
If Pakistan win their 2 games, we'll have to as well.

Guptill takes an absolute snorter at short fine leg to get rid of Smith - he walks off - to boos.

I neglected to mention that we sat in the Grandstand for the Eng v Aus game.

We gave both Warner & Smith massive boos when they came to field anywhere near us and they both shifted to the other side of the pitch rapidly.

Our only victory on the day.

Went to the Sri Lanka Aus game so my first chance to boo them before the Ashes!
