Now with added .gif (can't include the Cullen and Williams tackles that were instrumental in catching Brentford on the back foot as I'm limited to seven second clips):
Gallagher just has a knack of being in the right place at the right time. It’s something that can’t be taught.
Agree it’s natural with some players, though it can be encouraged and improved, look at Purrington. He’s not scored many but he keeps getting in those positions.
Probably the least convincing display I've seen from Lord Bowyer's charges this season ... but who cares? We're winning!
Brentford started by far the better side and although they didn't create a clear-cut opportunity they were certainly threatening.
Ironically it's taken an injury to one of Wednesday's heroes, Deji, to get the Addicks back into the game as we've shifted to three at the back with five in midfield which has slowed down the Bees.
Lockyer produced another outstanding challenge to save a goal; not as excellent as the Forest tackle, but just as effective.
The garden gnome has been kicked from pillar to post but it was his tackle to win the ball, speed to get back to his feet, and quickness of brain to see the pass to Baby Beckham that gave us the opportunity to take the lead ... and didn't Gallagher do well!
Conor's senior career might only be in the embryonic stage but his composure in front of goal would have pleased a gnarled old pro.
Hopefully the second half will see us settle into this new formation and put in a better performance.
I don't trust us not to concede so it's vital we get a second goal sooner rather than later.
50' Some nice forward play from the Addicks in the last few minutes. Williams nearly unlocks the Brentford defence again, but it's just too heavy for Taylor.

Remember Lee Bowyer playing for Charlton?

Brentford for all their possession haven't really created any clear cut chances, still think this finished 2-0 to us.
Here come the Addicks for the second half. 45 minutes to go... COME ON YOU REDS! #cafc
Corner, Brentford. Conceded by Darren Pratley.
Willo's forward pass just a yard too heavy for Lethal to run on to.
Ben Purr got in his chariot, went down the left and drilled a cross that Lethal couldn't quite reach at full stretch.
