  • Went there earlier this year. The museum is great and Arnhem itself is a lovely place.

  • Wolfheze the field of the first drop from The Airborne on the 17th Sept 1944

  • Very impressed. You were in the enclosed area in Oosterbeek.
    As always very moving weekend.
  • Recent couple of episodes from Dan Snow’s History Hit podcast covers Market Garden and has Al Murray guesting as he has written a book out titled Arnhem Black Tuesday
  • Very impressed. You were in the enclosed area in Oosterbeek.
    As always very moving weekend.
No we was outside the perimeter, but got a good spot. The standing ovation to the KOSB Soldier when he walk down to lay a wreath was very moving. There can't be many survivors left. I couldn't post it on here as the file was too big.

  • In the field just beyond the church the white line went to the Rhine.
80 years ago tonight 25/26 Sept 1944 the final withdrawal across the Rhine on this spot.

The people of Oosterbeek and Arnhem still remember Operation Market Garden and the soldiers who fell and those that survived.
