I think signing McGeady is pretty much confirmation that we will not be getting Maddison.
I’m not too disappointed with that. Something doesn’t sit right with me about Maddison.
I feel the same about McGeady to be honest mate.

You will feel differently after he has banged in  the winner on Saturday from 25 yards.

in reality,  he will probably go off injured after 15 mins.

My prediction, we'll sign some fairly big name which nobody knew about and Taylor will stay
  • Maybe the ‘strange’ thing Bowyer was talking about was we’re gonna do fuck all for the whole transfer window and then sign 5 players on deadline day just to make it interesting
Thing is, in the January transfer window, that is not that strange.

  • Did we miss out on Docherty? If he passed his medical last night why wasn’t he announced too. Twitter saying he’s talking to Hibs today.

You, sir, are adding 2 + 2 and making 5.

I don’t think a forward is coming, but also Taylor will stay.

We’ve now got another tricky winger, along with the emergence of Doughty and Green, I think we are going full Karl Robinson (4-2-3-1)

    RW Green
    CAM Williams/Oztumer
    LW Doughty/Mcgeady
    CF Taylor/Bonne/Hemed

    So if anything, another winger?!

With Timmy Abraham joining them it looks like he's on the way out.

Still can't believe someone named their kids Timmy and Tammy.
All they need now is cousin Tommy

    Add Aneke in there too.

Think Doughty will be viewed more as a left back now, given Purrington's inconsistency and Page never being fit.

That system can work if you have mobile central midfielders and a striker that can anticipate play and make the ball stick.  My only defence of Karl is that Kashi had become a crab and Big Josh was pretty woeful.

Nothing to worry about, keep the faith.

Pleased with the window so far as we have got Bows. Green a bonus. Judge them 31st December.
10 lol. Shopping for pie ingredients yet? Probably not.

    Have MORE faith.
  • Wonder how big a hit the UK's productivity takes today with football fans refreshing their browsers ever 4.5 seconds in the hope of transfer news.

Internet on work PC is limited to north Korean levels and my 4g signal on phone cuts out daily at 12pm  for some bizarre reason when  at work so going to be a suspenseful day.

Reckon we'll be in for a good very  un-Charlton January deadline day and summer will be similar to the first jiminez Slater one under Powell when we seemed to be bringing in quality players every 20 minutes.

Dodgy curry last night and spent the last 8 hours projectile vomitting and pebble-dashing the Armitage Shanks.

The net benefit being I’m staying in bed, it’s Friday and my only chore is to press F5 around 6,000 times.

    Bring on Deadline Day!

Happy with McGeady. His experience can only help. Not one for the long term but will help keep us up.
    Roll on more signings today.

He’s been playing both.  And Purrington was only inconsistent when we had no midfield.
