The foot was taken right off the gas once we equalised when we had them on the rack, then Lapslie for Leko!!!
LB has to take a lot of blame for this.
Also, as usual, the amount of backward oassing instead of riskier attacking option which ends up with a pass back to Phillips which then means losing the fucking ball to their hoofmonsters at the back.
Total fuck up in selection and tactics.2 -

Its a shit time of year, Millwall time.
Chalk another one off. If i have realistically another 20 years on this planet, i can say with confidence we will never beat them. Bowyer has gone from a champ to chump in my mind and be honest Lee, i know you have to say something when someone shoves a microphone under your nose but maybe out of respect for us long sufferers, lay off with that old bollocks please...

Oh, and Sarr can fuck off forever.5

Nerves are raw so I might (doubt) be more philosophical tomorrow.
But - for crying out f*cking loud! They were there for the taking and we reverted to our usual surrender. The way I feel, I do not want to see Sarr wearing the shirt again. Bowyer screwed it up today - even with our injuries we should have won comfortably.
Then to add further insult they keep us locked in for the best part of an hour while the scum are fighting with the police at the station. I never want to go to that shit hole again.
Thankfully I’m on the train home.

Really need Taylor back as well. Bonne has been immense, but he’s ploughing a lonely furrow up top, with little support without our creative players. Apart from the goal, thought Leko was poor. Head down a lot in the first half, little threat. Taylor up top supporting Bonne would’ve really helped today. It’s also how Taylor drops wide and opens the game up for runners from midfield.Gallagher, Cullen, the only two really trying to drive the play, so much to ask for a 19 and 20 year old. Bonne, taking the step up from the conference, was unlucky not to smack that volley either side in the first half. Pratley put a shift in, but it’s hard for him to do week in, week out. To be honest, Kayal, coming from a prem team is not impressing me. Was very poor when he came on today. So many frustrations. Of course you want to beat your local rivals, but I’m just annoyed at the consistency of these defeats and mistakes now. Bristol City, injury time, Wigan, set pieces.I really can’t be too critical because I believe Bowyer set out to win that game today, we’re really under the cosh because of injuries and I felt some of the players did want it, they just made mistakes and didn’t take the game to them. This is Millwall. They did overall deserve the win, because they were just being direct and playing to their strengths, but ffs, just attack them. We got deeper and deeper. We weren’t playing Barcelona or Liverpool etc4

Ignored my phone all day and now I remember why0

Just seen the goals on Sky. The first goal was bad, really bad, but the second was unforgivable.
What on earth did Sarr think that he was doing to defend his goal?2 -
Great reception for the Mizen and Knox families today. Two inspirational families. Unlike Doreen Lawrence who just milks it.0

Watched on Valley Pass. My neighbour wanted to fly over to London with me to be there, and couldn't quite understand why I resisted. Best decision I made this year, cos i was tempted, when Lyle was fit and we were tearing into good teams.
They way I see it, first 20 the "old" Charlton returned, then we gradually got a grip and looked the better side at the interval whistle. When we equalised, I thought we might have them by the throat but to my surprise and concern we started to sit back. It was worrying that not everybody knew the script, there was a moment when Pearce went forward, and stayed there, yet nobody got the ball up towards the box where he was waiting.
I hate to slag off players, and I think there is a good player in Naby, but he was 100% at fault for the 2nd goal, and probably the first too. I've slowly learnt over the years that the difference between top flight footballers and the rest is not so much talent, but consistency. He did a lot of good things in the game, but he didn't at times do the basics that his team mates depend on him to do. If you want to succeed in Britain then you are going to face big lumps like Stockley and Smith (and btw, who here would not like to see Stockley, at least, in our squad?). So when that big lump has just come on and they have a corner you know your job. He failed to do it. We lost. Never a foul. And I'm not superstitious nor religious, and I always lose bets, but come that corner I just knew they were going to score. I am not sure they "wanted it more" but we had invited them to believe by surrendering the initiative when Pratley went off. He was a great performer again today, and I also thought Matthews looked pretty decent considering his lack of game time.
I think we'll be OK. I don't think that West Ham will recall Cullen. For the moment at least, this is his level. If we had a decent owner, we'd buy him in Jan. He too is inconsistent at times in the game (though nowhere near like Naby). But he will get better, and nobody wanted to win today more than him.
Shit. Roland Out.20 -
Get Leko out of this club. Doesn't fit Bowyer requirements at all. Zero effort time and time again. Weak on the ball. Never passes. Utter dross.4

Why the Leko hate? Didn’t have his greatest game but there were worse players on the pitch. If Sarr didn’t cock up twice Leko would be a Charlton legend right now4

Completely unnecessary personal abuse of Leuth on the match thread. Yeah I know he's very VERY stubborn re Sarr but it doesn't warrant you guys being such unrequitable bells.
In which case, @Leuth what the fuck are you playing at? That's completely unacceptable. I still remember you screaming "fuck sake" at a 14 year old and I thought after literally everyone gave you a dressing down, that you'd have the sense to chill. Apparently not. Come on, that's properly shit of you.
That's a shame to hear as that's the sort of thing people should be disowned for, you can't just go around abusing children.
And my comment pointing out that Leuth was personally offensive to someone by telling them to f off is removed, yet his actual post telling the person to f off isn't? Brilliant.
Honestly have no idea how saying someone has a piece of fruit for their brain is racist, I regularly ask people here if they have a tofu brain when they do something dumb, maybe I just need locking up?
Don't worry about it. Some posters just have a touch of the witch burner about them.0 -

Pwr or watching, followed on twitter and seen the players marks.
We are in a relegation scrap now, we might be out of it by March, we might not. We had players not capable of playing at this level playing above themselves for 3 months. Now they are reverting to their normal. Add the injuries and its a bad combination.
As Bowyer said we haven't been out of any match this season, that should be enough to keep us up. We have, probably 4 or 5 real quality championship players, the rest aren't. Not their fault. They will fight for it though.3 -
Gutted about today obviously, but not angry at Bowyer or the team per se.
The shapes not necessarily a bad one, but injuries mean we lack options massively.
Playing a 5-4-1 at home last week against Preston was awful, 2 defensive wing backs and 3 defensive midfielders. Today was slightly better with Leko on there but again we just don’t have the players committed further forward to break.
Would understand if we had modern wing backs of the Alexander-Arnold/Robertson mould, but Purrington is a steady left back in a four, Solly the same. Matthews has got a bit more about him going forward but still a lot to expect of him to dominate that wing, especially when he’s short of fitness.
Sarr was very poor today, but that doesn’t make him a bad player. It was laughable how he and Pearce were basicallly playing the same position, regularly tripping over each other and going for the same ball. It’s been said before that the 3 at the back works best when Pratley is in there. And Oshilaja is unlucky to be left out at the moment. I can’t imagine Sarr will start again for a while.
Feel sorry for some of the form players (Bonne/Gallagher) as they’re getting isolated. Bonne looks really sharp, but is lacking support. He will love playing with Taylor (until January anyway)
The injuries have killed us. Hoping we can get some of the lads back after the international break. Crucially Taylor, but also Hemed and Aneke to give us options.
At the minute, we are just setting up not to lose. And it’s not working.13 -

Shit. Roland Out.
Could the club afford it? If not that's not decent is it? That's reckless?

Poor game. All 3 goals from set pieces said it all. Draw was fair but not surprised when they won it at the end. Painful watch from their end with a sympathetic Wall mate. We'll never beat Millwall1

Yep, his one decent goal against Leeds and two massive deflections. Clinical.1
