Sorry to hear of your loss AUN.
I remember Jimmy Seed’s last Christmas (1965) because he carved the turkey, and later said he couldn’t taste anything because he had a rotten cold.
Have a rotten cold myself this year, first I’ve ever had at Christmas.I was telling my wife’s relatives that he used to play matches on Christmas Day and Boxing Day in the 1920s. None of them are interested in football though :-(0 -

i can remember listening to Charlton matches on a Christmas Day James, well into the forties or it might have been early fifties. The only thing I remember was an excited commentator saying ... and Bartram saves on the line.3
