    Sorry to hear of your loss AUN.
    I remember Jimmy Seed’s last Christmas (1965) because he carved the turkey, and later said he couldn’t taste anything because he had a rotten cold.
    Have a rotten cold myself this year, first I’ve ever had at Christmas. 
    I was telling my wife’s relatives that he used to play matches on Christmas Day and Boxing Day in the 1920s. None of them are interested in football though :-(

    i can remember listening to Charlton matches on a Christmas Day James, well into the forties or it might have been early fifties.  The only thing I remember was an excited commentator saying ... and Bartram saves on the line.
