That was him, looked it up and it was 2009 so doesn't count. Also found another name that would be a pointless answer to many, Bally Smart

Can a player be rated worst when they didn't play?

Polish Pete is on here and only played a couple of minutes.

I imposed a rule to myself that any selection should have played more than 'fleetingly' which ruled out Polish Pete etc.

This is the facetious side I posted on Henry's Team of the Decade thread a while back:

    Thuram

    Motta
    Doherty
    Johnson
    Borrowdale

    Cook L
    Gower
    Petrucci
    Bergdich

    Abbott
    Makienok

I think we have to distinguish between fleeting glimpses and regulars.

                  Ammann
    Francis Rojo Doherty Traore
        Church Holland Gower Barnes
              JFH. Makeniok

Like to include the fat midfielder we signed for a mil but can't remember his name.

Frimpong has to be in there.

Never seen a guy hype himself so much, who is so shit. More bench than dench.

We also had a winger a while back, maybe around the same time as Frimpong, think he might have been on loan too, but he was weedy and absolutely awful. Hated him.

Edit: just gone back and seen. Kerkar, Christ he was awful!

Captain clean shorts. Each to his own. Retired from us at 33 in Championship, realised he had been stealing a living.

    Unapologetic racist.

Yeah, they closed the thread. Left the comments up there but closed the thread so nobody else can now confront the racist bigot.

    Shameful.

People taking the term "racist" lightly or in jest are part of the problem.

Indeed. Which is why racist views should be confronted at every opportunity. Wouldn't you agree?

My memory must be failing me, but which Barnes is this please, surely not John Barnes ?
It can't be as he played for us in 1999.

JFH last played for us in 2007 & Matt Holland 2009.

Plus to be putting in Premiership players over some of the L1 dross we've had, would be ridiculous, even though they don't even qualify.

    Standard post.

    My worst eleven;

    Thuram

    Nego, Rhys Williams, Seaborne, Borrowdale

    Eggart Johnson, Le Point, Kerkar,

    Kaikai, Peter Parsnip, Zyro

Subs; McCormack, Francis, Church, Rojo, Gary Doherty, Dodoo, Leon Clarke, El Haji Ba, albeit some of these players were Charltonised and found greener pastures elsewhere.

Scary. That team would struggle in the Isthmian League.
Probably still get a point on a wet Wednesday at Stoke though :p

Forgot all about Roger Johnson. I wonder how he would respond to being informed he was part of this team?

Genuinely can't get beyond Thuram, shaking my head and thinking what could be worse. However some harsh reminders have emerged!

Apologies Covered End. Didn't fully read the thread.

Surprised no one mentioned Leon Best

Wasn't terrible but unfit, then suffered a career ending knee injury

Reza Coochy Coo or what ever his name was, got my back up , but I like to think he gave his best.

Definitely not one of the worst, at times looked like he could be very useful - unfortunately he was made of glass.

Fanni and Motta were ok i thought.
Agreed. Came in at a bad time but you could at least see they could play a bit.
Big fan of Fanni. Can’t recall Motta though.
