Surprised no one mentioned Leon Best
Wasn't terrible but unfit, then suffered a career ending knee injury
Scored a cracker at Blackburn with his head, trouble was it was in the wrong end 😏.

Le point: pre car crash was a Belgian International.
Le point: post car crash was a Brussel sprout.

Cafc got him after car crash.
That period in our history was a car crash.

Surprised Motta is being mentioned, there was a player there, albeit past his best, he was a ex roma, juve and italy international

I think we have to distinguish between fleeting glimpses and regulars.

                  Ammann
    Francis Rojo Doherty Traore
        Church Holland Gower Barnes
              JFH. Makeniok

Like to include the fat midfielder we signed for a mil but can't remember his name.
Neil Redfearn maybe? Although that was more than 10 years ago.

Can’t understand why Borrowdale is mentioned. He wasn’t that bad .

Without him coming in when JJ was injured and sent back to Notts County we would never have made the play offs in 09/10 .

Borrowdale wasn't bad as I remember, and Motta had a bit of quality about him.....Thuram stands alone in terms of terriblle players, the "partnership" of Williams and Johnson not far behind.

Zyro is a very harsh addition from some. Scored a couple of really decent goals and was better than Josh Parker but no-one remembers because Parker’s team won the play-offs and Zyro’s team didn’t.

Makienok can’t be in this team for his Rotherham performance alone.

Both were reasonable players and nowhere near the dross of Abbott and Kandol.

The week of Colchester, Huddersfield and Hull, take your pick.

    I'm going for Hull.

Was an absolute beast in the second half against Hull at the valley earlier that season. Unplayable.

Agreed Makienok has no place on this list, in a better squad he would have been a decent player. Pawel Abbott is a great shout, couldn't believe somebody in that physical condition could play as a professional footballer.

There have literally been a generation of fans who have been born and maybe even gone on to have kids of their own since Mike Ammann last played for us..............

How about Leon Clarke? Was a reliable, regular scorer before and especially after but complete rubbish when with us.

    Thuram

    Francis,  Williams, Johnson,  Seabourne

    Frimpong , Ledley, Lepoint

    Tudgay, Makienok, Clarke

Bit harsh on Ledley as he's only played 45 minutes.

So Makienok was worse than Novak or Abbott?
