  • I'm not entirely disappointed.

Gallagher, Lockyer, Matthews, Morgan and Davison come away with some credit that half, though Albie with the first yellow I've ever seen for intent to foul.
  • It’s been much better than Derby, but that isn’t hard. We were a bit unlucky to go behind at the time but Swansea have carried all the threat since. Front 3 are passengers so far and the three young’uns all looking a bit out of their depth. Midfield is really struggling to get a foothold as a result. Maybe time for the ex Cardiff man Ledley to come on and make his single meaningful contribution in a Charlton shirt.
  • The booking for Peace was an absolute joke. Wasn’t even a free kick, IMO
  • Well, personally 1-0 down at half time is better than I expected coming in to this, and significantly better than I expected after the first 20 minutes
  • Can't see us scoring though
  • Pearce so good at attacking the ball, I'll be surprised if we don't see both a red and a penalty for them second half.
  • Pearce is brain dead
You do have to question the thinking, considering our current situation.
  • Think we need to switch from the diamond. Swansea have way to much space in the midfield at the moment.

Otherwise once again we are giving it a good go. Probably should be more down, but have also had a couple of decent moves forward as well.
  • Tough tough half for us. Think most who saw our starting 11 would have expected that. Positives are that we’re only 1 down and on the rare time we go forward we don’t actually look too bad.
    Oshilaja for Dempsey?

  • Really tough to watch us atm. Just have nothing going forward, our only plan is lump it forward when we win it back. Hate to say it but Taylor doesn’t look particularly interested. Get doughty on second half for dempsey he may at least try to beat a few players. Need to ge the ball into Gallagher feet more too.

Am I the only one who saw nothing wrong with that Pearce tackle?? Players follow through all the time, what matters is he got the ball first.
Wasnt in control when making the challenge so made it rash
    But he got the ball.
Doesn't mean anything these days; you have to be in full control of your actions before, during, and after the challenge so and old-fashoned "taking out everything" gets frowned upon these days.
  • Don't give up the bench might save us.
  • With the team we have out we are doing better than I expected. Still in with a shout. Davidson doing well, holding the ball up and bringing others in to play. In fact it’s the seasoned pro’s who have had some dodgy moments when they should be dragging the kids through this. Surprised he started with both strikers as I can’t see either lasting 90 minutes.

    Awful challenge!
Absolutely stupid challenge, was never not going to win that and follows through like that. Lucky to not be a red.
Apart from the fact he did win it. Stretching. Guy came in from side with no chance of getting ball.
  • We look very poor. Swansea are running us ragged. The only saving grace is that it’s still only 1-0 as it could have been a hell of a lot worse!

    So, doesnt matter

Will have been a booking as the ref would have seen it as dangerous play
  • so lucky to be only one behind
  • Can't see us getting a goal here. What can you expect from this team against ex-prem players though?

Maybe Ledley will come on and show us what we have been missing
  • That shot didn't take "the slightest of deflections", it stopped Dills from saving it.

Indeed. Should easily be 2-3. When they attack we look like we are down to nine men
  • We're going to score 3 in the second half.
  • Higginbotham talking absolute bollocks saying Danda used Pearce to bend it into the corner with a slight deflection?!!!! What the f*** is he on? If it hadn’t hit Pearce Philips saves it. And then he mentions rugby moves?
  • Can't believe we're only 1 down
    This x100

If the new owners are watching I hope they will quickly realise we need 4 or 5 new players otherwise their march to the Premier League is going to start in League 1.

Unsurprisingly the difference in class when they are around our box is like chalk and cheese. Why can't we cut across the front of there box and get a decent shot off ? Because we haven't the ability in the team to do that ATM.

Still in this, keep it at 1-0 and we will get at least one chance to level it up during the next 45 mins COYRs..

    No good news, everything awful.
We've not actually been awful but we're being badly outplayed by a Swansea team who have barely left first gear. We're not picking up aggressive full backs out wide or Dhanda in the hole and it's tough to watch. Like a mismatched FA Cup tie. I don't care how bad Joe Ledley is at the moment, we're better off throwing him on in place of Dempsey, if only to cut short a total disaster of a display for the boy's sake. I haven't seen a player look this far from being ready since Karlan during the Luzon days.
Our only possible chance of scoring at the moment is either Albie playing a brilliant first time ball on the counter or Purrington somehow doubling up on his first half performance and nailing a rabona assist after a nutmeg. Other than that we've got nothing. I'd say something needs to change but there's nothing really on the bench unless Vennings has become de Bruyne overnight so we may just have to pray that we got a lucky bounce in the boxand that Swansea continue to have terrible luck in front of goal. Beyond that just close your eyes and think of the takeover
  • Get Sarr on as striker
  • We're going to score 3 in the second half.
Welcome to Charlton Life. What's Swansea like to visit?
  • Can’t be arsed with the second half. Enjoy everyone
  • 'The post comes to Charlton's rescue'. What is this madness.
