Swansea v Charlton - Match Thread

  • Pearce gets a yellow for following through with his challenge - given where his legs ended up, I wouldn't have been too surprised if it ended up as a red
  • Taylor manhandled when more or less clean through but gets a lecture then their fk. Then Pearce gets pulled in box, no fk but their guy claims pen. Now Pearce gets card for follow through at least a yard from Swansea guy. Crap ref.

    Awful challenge!
Absolutely stupid challenge, was never not going to win that and follows through like that. Lucky to not be a red.

Time for sarr up front! Would like to see doughty/ledley on for morgan or dempsey
Davison is doing well enough, feed the Davo and he will score.
  • Such a needless tackle, he was favourite for the ball
  • Pearce could’ve walked for that
  • Credit to them for only being down 1. Which is really never something that should be a positive
  • You can get 16-1 on us to win this game! COYR!!
    20-1 now... SISS
  • Lord Bowyer will read them the riot act at halftime and tell them "the deal is done we got tons of money you can all be replaced by next week now go out and score at least three or I will be ticking your names on the coach after the game".
All joking aside, Bowyer has to be careful now. If there is loads of money (in relative terms), he can't afford alienating half the squad who feel threatened.

  • Don’t think there was any intention from Pearce. How the fuck do you not follow through with a tough tackle like that? Card is ridiculous.

    He cleared it!
  • Rooney free-kick for Derby knocked in by Jack Marriott for his first goal in "17" games.
  • Am I the only one who saw nothing wrong with that Pearce tackle?? Players follow through all the time, what matters is he got the ball first.

Obviously not Dry January at yours!

    Jesus these commentators are clueless
Greg and Tel do their best.
  • Davison back well again, unfortunately loses it immediately.

Poor clearance from Ben Purr in the build up.

    HT.

  • 1-0 half time is a lucky escape
  • Can't believe we're only 1 down
  • Lucky not to be 3 or 4 down with ten men
  • Well Charlton havent disgraced themselves this half

Only one goal means were still in this!!
  • Routledge tearing us apart lol. Sign him up!
  • Tough half that.

Have you been locked up since 1993 :-)

You can’t follow through with studs up anymore. There is zero chance the ref won’t blow for it so you are just giving the ball to the oppo and risking a card / worse. Needless
  • Pearce is brain dead
    Sunday morning pub team challenge.

    No mate.
I remember playing in the 70s when you had dozens of tackles like that per match. Refs are soft these days.
