Silver Linings Playbook. I watched it with my earphones and 30 minutes later my ears were ringing. I couldn't stand the constant dialogues and gave up.

Though I enjoyed The Shape of Water it certainly wasn't worth the best picture Oscar. Guillermo del Toro made some pretty disturbing monster movies early in his career but Shape of Water was conventional, pedestrian and safe compared to Pan's Labyrinth.
I can't believe Once Upon a Time in Hollywood has been nominated for best picture Oscar. It's typical self-indulgent Tarantino, stroking himself over Hollywood nostalgia, and nothing really happens apart from the pornographically violent ending. The story, what there is of it, could all have been easily told in 90 minutes rather than the interminable three hours it took.

Awful film but 98% on Rotten Tomatoes. Why?
I also liked Fight Club, but really didn't get as excited as plenty of other people did
With the Shape of Water, a lot of people say that it's the worst film in memory to win Best Film.
Plus it ripped of the Tom Hanks film Splash:

I didn't know it was a comedy before I watched it, and still didn't after watching it.
