I think I could run in 6 against us at the minute. That’s a few defensive records broken for the franchise. Can Zimmer survive that? Probably. Should he? I’m not sure.
Well I'm glad I stayed up for that. I regularly curse Dan Marino for forcing me to choose the Dolphins and then give me 35 years of purgatory. Tonight feels very good. Hopefully Buffalo have no reason to go for it next weekend.
How can you not defend 19 secs and no timeouts worst defence in the league.
*Laughs in Jags fan and person who has watched the Jets*
The answer is because they chose Cover 2 as their base for that play, for some maddeningly inexplicable reason. Fitz diagnosed the coverage correctly, knew a man might be left open deep left sideline, and indeed he was. So yeah, it's a terrible bit of coaching, compounded by poor defensive backs and a facemark penalty, but wouldn't go so far as to say worst defence in the league.
Think the defender who had the face mask was being held himself !
Indeed he was, though it's not the sort of hold you call (partly due to viewing angles and also as the defender literally grabbed Fitz's face mask). Either way, still a ridiculous play.
Does Haskins get another shot anywhere, even as a backup given there's a very strong QB draft class for 21' and the number of issues he's had on and off the field?

No. He's not worth the baggage and that's pretty much entirely down to the off-field issues. He has also been a really rubbish QB. If he does end up somewhere, it will be competing for a backup spot at, for instance... Denver or something, maybe. Hell, possibly even Jacksonville as it's clear neither Glennon nor Luton are even capable enough as a backup (in my opinion), while Minshew will likely be traded for a mid-round pick.
Not sure if anyone else is watching this Alabama v Notre Dame game but if you have a chance I would. Harris and Devonta Smith are legit but Mac Jones is quite the prospect, can’t tell if he’s a top 10 QB or a bust.

Yeah I've been watching. I think Najee Harris earned himself a few more dollars with this:
Mac Jones is not easy to evaluate. I think he's a top 5 QB in this draft (behind Lawrence, Wilson, Fields, Lance and ahead of Trask, Newman, Purdy, Mond, Ehlinger et al), but whether that means he'll be a starter in the NFL I have no idea. He's probably a developmental type rather than a starter for a QB-needy team.
Devonta Smith is going to be an absolute monster next year for whoever drafts him. He is even better than any of the WR prospects from last year in my opinion - and that class was absolutely stacked. I'm properly excited to see what happens with him.
I've been impressed also by Dylan Moses today, Bama LB. Others in this game I reckon will be going fairly high:
- Alex Leatherwood, OT (probably goes to guard in the NFL, good for a 2nd round pick I guess) - Patrick Surtain, CB (1st round, probably top half, stud CB and for me the best one in the class ahead of Caleb Farley at Virginia Tech) - Jaylen Waddle, WR (1st-2nd round: has slipped down the boards a little with Smith looking so good)
Notre Dame:
- Jeremiah Owusu-Koromoah, LB - undersized but a ballhawk. Teams will love his hustle. - Adetokunbo Ogundeji, EDGE (not sure what round) - Liam Eichenberg, OT (excellent tackle, probably goes 2nd or 3rd round)
For the 2022 draft Kyren Williams (Notre Dame RB) and Kyle Hamilton (safety) will be great prospects.
Man alive, Lawrence is giving me the shivers. The throw on third down; outrunning the defender on a zone read... the guy is showing all sorts and we're only three minutes in!

the Jags are officially on the clock.
Gotta feel good about that as a Giants fan now.

Fields time now.
Lawrence fumbled multiple times and couldn’t run the ball.
