Lawrence fumbled multiple times and couldn’t run the ball.
Fields put up big numbers and 6 TD
Not concerned by Lawrence's performance to be fair. There's no such thing as a perfect prospect and while his fumbles raise an eyebrow, they were all second half under pressure chasing the game, and the Jags have a middling O-line so he shouldn't be facing that sort of situation loads.
Fields was impressive for sure. However, he was up against a pretty useless Clemson secondary, while Ryan Day is an excellent play designer and his O-line were standing well up to that Clemson front. All that said, he had loads at stake and balled out. Six TDs is a fantastic performance. Jets fans will be happier after that.
Thought Fields was decent but seemed to have guys wide open a lot. Obviously got to make the right throws but that Clemson secondary did not look very good.
That last angle was the killer. Gallman on his back with two hands wrapped around the ball. Oh well, time to figure out who we can draft with pick whatever.
I watched that from behind the sofa, very tense, I thought the 2 point conversion was nailed on, and the onside kick, even then I still felt there was a Brownsie ending by not making that 3rd and 1 at the end.

Washington did the business. Giants fans will be fuming after watching that shite from the Eagles. Slightly suspicious decision to take their QB out with a quarter to go too... Strange selection decisions and pony performance - a bit like us against Hull. 😂
Well, I make Al and Mike completely right here. Teams joke about tanking - even I've embraced the Jags tank this year - but to actually SEE it as a result of anything other than incompetence? Pretty awful.
Totally agree with the commentators here. As an eagles fan I see that 4th quarter as nothing more than taking a decision to throw the game. The defence had held Washington to a single field goal in the second half and to throw in sudfeld at that point is disrespectful to every other team in the conference.
Rule 17 allows the Commissioner to do anything including taking draft places away. If broadcasters start asking if games are fair, there could be some action, you never know. It was proper blatant tanking and gets then a 6th round pick rather than the 9th round they would have got with a win.
Yeah I get the anger at the Eagles, but then you look at the Chargers playing a Chiefs team with Chad Henne winning and they ultimately lose draft position by winning rather than lose to Mahomes because they are resting players, yet there is nothing wrong with what they did so ultimately you need to look out for yourself. Jags have been actively tanking by dropping Minshew for Glennon but if they do it to start the game that's fine? It's an impossible line to draw.
A week 17 game will be forgotten next year if they are back in the playoffs with a great lineman drafted 6th overall and could be worth it to them.
Ultimately the Giants can't complain on missing the playoffs either at 6-10

There is a subtle difference between what we've done vs the Eagles' decision-making. We have at least built some plausible deniability, and you can't really argue that our players were trying their best, and the coaching staff were in good faith with what they have. Also, Minshew is not the guy, and James Robinson being out torpedoed all chances these last two weeks.
As for the Eagles - to bench Hurts down three is so blatantly disrespectful, even though it's not against any rules.

McCarthy should have challenged the catch.
That play sums up our season.
Jesus.
Idiots.
