    So many to choose from.

Practically any three consecutive Dylan albums from sixties to seventies. A couple of duds to avoid though.
    First three Roxy Music albums.
The first three Velvet Underground albums.
Young Americans, Low, Heroes - Bowie
Hunky Dory, Ziggy Stardust, Aladdin Sane - Bowie
    Revolver, Sgt Pepper, White Album.
Pink Flag, Chairs Missing, 154 - Wire
    African Dub Chapter 1, 2 & 3
  • I'd have to go with

    Hunky dory
    Ziggy
    Aladdin sane

( which I think was followed by Diamond Dogs) making a great 4 in a row

It's super hard to chose one favourite, but I'd probably go with XTC. In my opinion a band that are hugely underrated. The fact that they stopped touring in 1982 didn't help, they were also from Swindon and really uncool too.

    Drums and Wires -1979
    Black Sea - 1980
    English Settlement - 1982
I love XTC, but slightly struggling to find 3 in a row I really like.

    Maybe
    Oranges and Lemons
    Nonsuch
    Apple Venus Vol 1

    or
    Black Sea
    English Settlement
    Mummer

or if you include The Dukes of Stratosphear
    25 O'Clock
    Skylarking
    Psonic Sunspot

I never really listened to the Dukes stuff, I should really. With the exception of the Apple Venus records which I've never heard and The Big Express I love all their stuff. For me the Partridge/Moulding song writing is up there with Lennon/McCartney. The fact that they were signed to a major label between 1982 and 1992 without touring is unheard of.

Not really an album though…in the UK:

Magical Mystery Tour is a record by the English rock band the Beatles that was released as a double EP in the United Kingdom and an LP in the United States.
  • Radiohead:
    The Bends
    OK Computer
    Kid A
  • Love threads like this, some brilliant suggestions, my choices have been covered here with Led Zep, Chilli peppers, Floyd, The doors, Beatles.

Micheal Jackson was a great shout too.

For more modern stuff, I've absolutely loved every Rudimental album they've released, Home, We the Generation, Toast our Differences and their latest, Ground control.

If we're talking MJ I'll go:

Off The Wall 1978 - Speaks for itself.

Triumph 1980 (as The Jacksons) they made so many great songs, spread over multiple albums. This was the 14th.

Thriller 1982 - still the greatest selling album of all time. Never to be beaten.

I don’t think it was originally released as an LP.
