Same scenario for me on Sunday mate. Not the best feeling,
but sure you and your family will have a good old get together "when all
this is over". And I concertrated on the fact I weren't surrounded by people I'm not particularly keen on, rather than think about those I was missing. There is some sort of method to my madness there mate, I think......
Just been to dad's to give him his card and showed him this thread. He said after I left, that he would read through the well wishes on his birthday thread and was welling up at the thought of fellow Addicks taking the time to send him greetings. He asked me to send his heartfelt thanks to you all. Many many thanks to this fantastic community.
This time last year you had a brilliant birthday present with that first leg win at Donny , this year evens it up , ying and yang and all that . Highs and lows , that's what following Charlton is all about .
Enjoy your day , people are a pain in the arse anyway !
Happy birthday Alan. Hope your day is brightened by the good wishes. My dad’s also 80 this year (in July). If you were brought up in Charlton, you may well know each other!
