More info on Joe Mason 2019 saga - looks like we turned to him after the window closed because he was a free agent. May not necessarily have been first choice during the window but was definitely the one Roland shut down.
Jesus, are we really doing transfer rumours from 18 months ago? We'll be back talking about Hayden Mullins and Darren Purse joining by tomorrow lunchtime.
Sorry but fail to see how Gunter is a 'great signing'.
Matthews was probably our best player for the last few games of last season and our best defender for most of it.
It looks like we have failed to to retain his services despite the new ownership buzz which seems to have fizzled out before it even started.
Our squad still looks painfully weak even for this league. When people start fondly remembering Magennis who despite his great effort, had the turning circle of a large container ship with one engine broken, you know there is a major problem.
Who is playing for wales tonight, Gunter or Matthews?
Neither starting tonight!
Thanks god for that. All we need is for him to do a bloody Taylor on us.
William's started. Levitt comes on for 2nd half, Gunter on bench .
Pope and Gomez play for England. Not bad for a league 1 outfit that.
You forgot Matt Smith. He is on the bench as well.
I'm sure the commentator said that he was on loan with us this year when he came on with Gunter, had me thinking a bit, maybe another "late announcement"
I just hope it was a slip of the tongue as he did about as much for Wales last night as he did for us. I wonder how much City pay him a week, because he really doesn't look good enough even at League 1 level.
We’ve established it was Joe Mason guys, stand down 😂
The timelines on Joe Mason don’t really line up though. He was loaned to Pompey at the beginning of the 18-19 season, went back to Wolves who then released him at the end of January window. There was no talk of us signing him on that deadline day that I remember.
All the talk at the time was that Grant was to be replaced by a short term loan player. We tried to get Mo Eisa from Bristol City but they couldn’t get a deal done for the striker they wanted so they didn’t let us take Eisa.
Ben Thompson, pushing for a loan exit. Would take him in a heartbeat! Don’t care if he is a wall player!
Portsmouth are back in for him so I'm told, he made that team the year we went up. When he went back in Jan they fell off a cliff. I think he is a great player would do a good job for us no doubt.

Sandgaard: ‘There will be less stress and drama at Charlton (Life) now’
Okay, I made up the bit in brackets!
I want stress and drama The stress of another play off semi final at the valley and the drama of another Wembley final!! But of course I will take automatic promotion as well

Time to log off of CL for a while I think.
