Getting nervous for Friday already, not so much because it's Millwall, but because the 3 points would mean so much, going into a game vs Brentford where I can't see us getting anything.
Very well earned point....we didn't lose, didn't get hammered and 7 from 9 is a great return when you consider 2 out of the 3 games played were away. Cullen put in another great shift...I expect to see more changes on Friday and if, just if we can get 3 points against them....then we will have a great chance to stay up, in fact another point will be good to keep an unbeaten run going and continue to build confidence. I expect to see Williams start on Friday with his energy, and Aneke back as well. Hope Field is not too badly cut, but Pratley should start I think. Great point lads well done.

Shit a brick. I think my 2-0 win with Bonne & McGeady
scoring has gone up in flames. Shit midfield with no creativity. Will change my
prediction to a 3-0 defeat.
Might need it as the starting 11 is pony.
Lapslie runs about like a headless chicken. No skill &
no creativity
So fucking annoying. Keeps pausing. Havent seem a single
second of the game so far I want my money back.
Green is another 1 footed player
Ffs !!! I dont mind
players shooting.....but Lockyer ??
So much possession, so little threat.
Again.....get up the pitch & then run out of ideas.
Yet another wasted corner. And you're telling me we
practiced that crap.
Being hampered by having Lapslie at RB.
That passage of play sums us up. Doughty breaks away &
stop on the edge of the box. Passes between Cullen, Lapslie & AN other
leads to nothing.
Yet another wasted corner.
They've brought in good dangerous players in Hoillet &
Tomlin. Expect one of them to score
Another wasted cross
Where is everyone...??
Cant sit back
What is Green doing...?
Worse than us.
More weird substitutions. Looks like we are going for 0-0.

Stupid foul. Not soft.
Bonne is useless. Just ran into the players.
Good result.
He appears not to be happy?
Lol, not me mate. Charlton Life's very own "Mr Happy"!
Some people on here need to take advantage of the services of one of the more annoying advertisers on the Valley Pass coverage, Just Eat, and order themselves some humble pie.
When the teams were announced at 5pm the Preview/Match Day threads were full of total pessimism:
"I don't like that team"
"I don't understand that line up"
"we could be on for a bit of a hiding"
"got a bad feeling about this game, think we might lose by a few goals"
"expecting a Huddersfield-esque defeat"
Guess what lads and lassies? Lord Bowyer seems to know what he's doing. The players obviously believe in His Lordship too.
Don't let him catch you being pessimistic, you may live to regret it.
Not pretty but very happy with a point . Some good build up play but no cutting edge . Bonne struggled when he came on and Green doesn't look interested . No threat from Cardiff until Purrington came on .

Feels very stalkerish. Should I be getting worried
Cardiff looked very ordinary, thought we could of maybe nicked but we’re lucky not to concede a penalty so a draw im happy with let’s get a win Friday and I’ll say we are home and hosed pretty much
well, i'm pleasantly surprised. was worried with the changes and the switch in formation but i should never doubt Bowyer. only thing that was disappointing was taking Aneke off who looked like he could of stayed on and i would of let him and took Green off instead who was abysmal. once Aneke went off we lost a huge part of our attacking threat, especially at a time when we were on top with a few corners.
great defensive performance and our midfield worked their socks off to keep the pressure on Cardiff. forcing mistakes. Cullen was instrumental at this and the other midfielders followed. you wouldn't believe how young the likes of Lapslie and Doughty are. showed maturity and experience beyond their years.
A fantastic point against an in form side and one who I am fairly confident will be in the top 6 come the end of the season.
Another clean sheet, we’ve really looked strong defensively since the restart. That tactical work Bowyer done on the training ground in the two weeks prior to Hull away has worked wonders. He recognised that scoring goals without Taylor would be a challenge, so you need to be solid and give yourself a chance to get results. It shows very good coaching abilities from every member of the management/coaching team, and an excellent attitude of the players to take it on board and implement in the games.
Josh Cullen is a very special player and one who will be playing in the Premier League for a good 10 years in my honest opinion. He is everywhere on the pitch, he can play, he can tackle, he can lead, he’s our glue.
The changes were slightly on the negative side, I personally would’ve liked to have seen Williams come on in place of Green rather than Purrington. His ability to drag us up the field, win free kicks in the opposition half, and even create something dangerous could’ve been the difference between a fantastic point, and an absolutely brilliant 3 points.
Overall, job done away from home at a good side. We now recover and go again on Friday against Millwall. Even with our record against them, the way we are setting up, and the fact that we aren’t allowed in the ground could actually somehow work in our favour.
46 from 40 is excellent with what Bowyer has had to work with. Personally believe another 5 points will be enough, but think we will get more than that in the final 6.
Huge well done to everyone and let’s hope for a fully fit squad ahead of Friday.
Good point that. Shame Barnsley turned up and now have the same return record as us. Still, if we keep it that way to the end they can't overtake us. To be a bit Golfie about it, that's now three games where we've played four different strikers and not one of them has scored, instead we've relied on a defender and our holdingest midfielder to score. That's ok as long as someone scores against Millwall, but we'll need to put some goals up there to go with our excellent defensive displays soon. Still, we should be over the moon about 7 points from three games, including a draw against a team on form in the top six. Now we just need to turn up at Millwall and try and get another one of our two wins. And for some of the bloody bastards below us lose a few games.
Seeing comments from Cardiff fans (and fans of other teams) often saying "Charlton are a very poor team". No, we're not. We are literally the opposite of a poor team. We have a bunch of relatively limited footballers, on barely any sort of wage, picked up from the bargain bin, and time and again they massively outperform and compete with far more expensively-assembled sides. Credit to Steve Gallen for this too, of course. But to get three consecutive clean sheets and 7/9 points after what's just happened off the field (and away from football)? Bowyer is a wizard.

There's only one objective - to stay in the Championship.
Nothing else matters.
’Philips could shit the bed tonight and still wake up with clean sheets!’ 😂
