They really should have done it on Zoom so that the court can switch off mics and cameras of observers themselves. Zoom has been fairly standard for court hearings, not sure why Teams was chosed for this one.Chunes said:Now another round of telling people to turn off their mics and cameras...0 -
If you want to help the club you shouldn't join the new meeting.
Flooding the stream just increases the liklihood of an adjournment. Especially if you don't know how to turn your video and mic off.18 -
PAIIIGE GET AATT NAAAAAA8

Anyone seen the Blackadder episode when gets done for shooting one of the King's Carrier Pigeons, Speckled Jim? That6

Agreed, I’ve been to enough court hearings in the past, so I’ll be Judge. I’ll just find my black cap and we’ll get started.Chizz said:There's 1,100 people on Charlton Life right now. Can't we just have the hearing here instead?2 -
This is TRAGIC !!!! you couldnt make it up ffs... only we could stop the court case that would hopefully free us from this shite !!!0

Great if idiot fans f**k this up4

Don't understand why everyone wants to log into this...Let Airman or Cawley provide the updates13
-
Yes please just leave it. You don't have to hear every word, there will be a report, we really need this to go ahead.1
-
Best that none of us join and just follow the updates, we don’t want this adjourned2
-
How can this be put at the door of the fans? Absolutely absurd to suggest that.16
-
It is open to the public. But if you all turned up in reality would everyone get in? No.se9addick said:
Courts being open to the public is a pretty important part of our legal system..:esseffect said:Why can’t we just let it happen and stop trying to join? Cawley and others will report the truth to us stop delays matters more2 -
Wonder what @oohaahmortimer has to say about the numbers?7

It's not idiot fans, it's idiot court clerks.Nadou said:Great if idiot fans f**k this up
The fans were invited and joined as per invite.16 -
Clogging up the system, not turning off camera and mic.jacob_CAFC said:How can this be put at the door of the fans? Absolutely absurd to suggest that.4 -
Being logged in won't be an issue. Those in the lobby trying to get in are the issue - but those managing the lobby can see who they are - so should know who is VIP and who isn't. I think the issue is clerks not knowing how to manage a Teams call - which isn't their fault - it's the fault of HMCS.Valley11 said:Just log out for Christ’s sake. An adjournment because of technical issues would be a bloody disaster2 -
Yup but now it looks like it created problems can we just not try to log back in if this gets adjourned it will be a nightmareCovered End said:

Hmm, HMCTS should have set this up properly, lets not blame fans5
-
Suspect the judge may direct the clerk omits the public on the second invite.0

You're right we don't want it adjourned, but it's no bad thing for the court to understand the level of interest in this.SheedyCAFC said:Best that none of us join and just follow the updates, we don’t want this adjourned1 -
Not bothering trying to get in again, hopefully others will do the same.4
-
Right, so there would be a capacity in the public gallery. No reason that can’t be established in exactly the same way here.esseffect said:

But why not. This is the British justice system & everyone has the right to see/hear what is happening. In real life you would probably have to lock the doors & turn people away, but as its being held virtually surely that makes it even easier to let people "into" the hearing.cafcfan1990 said:Yes please just leave it. Its not CAFC fans that are the problem here. Probably down to Teams or whatever it is that is delaying it all.3
