I thought we looked the better side through the first half, but then looked very hesitant throughout the entirety of the second. Sometimes, a soft penalty and a clearly offside goal will fire up a team, but we just seemed to lose our nerve today. Lincoln were ordinary at best.
We’re just days out of a long, long period of high stress and uncertainty. It will take time until that spell is broken. Let’s take the opportunity to focus on the fact that with Thomas we’re on the way up, irregardless of poor results like today.

Frustrating result but after the shite Bowyer has had to deal with since the play off final it’s not exactly a shock.
The time to judge Lee’s team and tactics will be a couple of months after the transfer window closes.
We won’t be promoted this season, we are playing catch up and by the time we hit our stride it will be too late. Patience required by all - record breaking season coming next year when fans are allowed back in.

Ozzy was okay, but why doesn't JW start this season? Is it down to a disrupted pre-season?

Chin up everyone, don’t get too disheartened and OTT. Its a long season and I’m very confident our team will look much better within a couple of weeks.

Deserved nothing from that. Bows I'm sure will be expecting a few more signings this week. Need time for the team to gel so I really don't want to overreact. I have no confidence in atm Bonne any time he gets the ball passed to him. Neither team created anything in the second half, undone by a crap back pass and a lapse in defending.

I think Bowyer will I use the penalty/goal from today to fire the team up, hone in on the ruthlessness they’re gonna need to compete. Plus a few reinforcements to bring a bit of new energy (and maybe Dillon and Doughty to sign again).2

Josh D must be shocking in training to not get at least 15 mins in that side. Lincoln defended well when required (not often enough). Shocking pen/offside decision, but that cost us at most a 0-01

Bonne being tipped for a move to the Championship when he’s barely Conference level. I’m absolutely dumbfounded he got as many goals as he did last season. He’s getting worse not better.Got to get better players in sharpish otherwise this will be a slog of a season.22 -

I know Bowyer will say “We didn’t take our chances we could’ve been 2 or 3 up first half,” but he says that too much. We just got soundly beaten by a league two side.The first half was decent but it was fairly obvious from about 55 minutes that we were never going to score.
