I've done a quick search and don't think this has been mentioned on CL so although referring to another forum (on Facebook) I hope this is OK to post.
Don't know if he posts on here but Lee Fender is arranging a kids shirt giveaway and thought some of you who aren't on the dreaded Facebook might like to contribute.
Thomas Sandgaard has also pledged to match any donations raised by fans.
I've copied the original post from FB below:
Kids shirt giveaway
OK, as previously mentioned I'd like us to do a kids shirt giveaway to as many of the members kids as possible with your help. It's been a hard year for many so this will take the pressure off some parents. We will do this for kids under 11 this time as Christmas is coming so Santa can put it under the tree.
I'm asking if as many of you can donate £2 to the cause so that 25 donations will get one shirt. If you wish to donate more that is your choice, it's a great cause and also supports the club we all love.
As always, I will put in to cover the first shirt. The plan is to use PayPal as I can also make the purchase with that through the club shop.
If you'd like to donate please send your money via PayPal to debbiecross22@yahoo.co.uk
Please do it as a friend's family gift to reduce the cut they take
Please put charlton kids as a reference
Cheers

Just a quick question...
When " member's kids" is stated, is that Lifers kids ?
AFKA just alerted me to this thread so told him I'm happy to add some context.
Yes Ladies and Gents, it is 100% legit, although it's been a while since I've been on CL I have been Charlton forever, grew up at 22 Wolfe Crescent 2 streets from the Valley but have lived in Oz for 24 years now. Even now I don' t miss any matches (My boss hates my annual leave plan)
Even though I live here I buy tickets for most fixtures and give them to Charlton families that for one reason or another, don't have much of an opportunity to afford matches, many of you wouldn't have known this solely because I like to keep low key, I'm not one for blowing my own trumpet but it's my way of financially supporting my club. Since Covid, I have been buying shirts instead.
I'm a Gulf war veteran who now has a great job in civvie Street, but I still grew up in a council house in SE7 with 5 siblings so I get that times are tough for families right now..
All I wanted to do was raise a bit of coin to get 5 shirts to give to kids under 11 via their parents for Christmas,
Within 72 hours and also with TS pledging to match it there is enough for 150 shirts (I didn't approach him, he found me) .
I received a message from his missus today informing me that he has instructed his staff to liaise with Hummel as he doesn't want to cap the fundraising based on stock levels. They have arranged a video conference for tomorrow I believe. Unwittingly this has become bigger than Ben Hur.
Anywauy, I hope this clears up any concerns
Cheers
Lee

Every penny will be for kids shirts, if there is any loose change it will go to The Jack jeffries superhero trust
Unlike charities, this has no CEO that takes the cream off the top
