Not on Valley Pass it wont be... You might be able to find a stream somewhere, if not you could always find a VPN and set your location to the UK so you can see it on VP
  • I know league is the priority but whilst we are on this strong a run and full of confidence I hope its a strong team to keep it going. The JPT is the cup that can fuck off.

Which is weird because it's the only one we can realistically win. I do get the whole 'this doesn't matter, we're never going to win it' mentality, but frankly I'd rather see at least one of the cup competitions taken seriously occasionally, especially now we have a squad. This may be the last season for a while I accept the 'concentrating on the league' excuse. Why is the league always the priority? Darren Pitcher's strike against Blackburn was a massive moment for us, similarly Bryan Hughes' winning penalty against Chelsea. Why are the cups treated so shabbily?
  • Couldn't care less about the result, just hope we can get some minutes into some of our lads lacking in match fitness and don't get any more injuries.

The season we won the playoffs, Pompey and Sunderland reached the final of the Checkatrade, and I doubt it did their league campaign much good

In normal circumstances when in L1 I'd like to take the FA Cup seriously up to the 3rd round, then get a decent away game and go out, e.g. like Fulham in 2011/12
  • Perhaps it didn't, but reckon Pompey fans still remember it as a cracking day out at Wembley. Like I say, not really bothered while we're in League One with a squad that needs minutes, but I just feel after this season that excuse runs out, let's have a cup run if we can.

Portsmouth and Sunderland got to the EFL Trophy Final
Doncaster got to the FA Cup 5th Round

Luton went out in the 1st Round | Charlton went out in the 2nd Round | Barnsley went out in the 3rd Round of the FA Cup

Says it all for me, teams at this level dont have the fitness or squad depth to sustain multiple competitions
  • Just a distraction from winning league one.

I look forward to different times, when our squad is strong enough for it to be a distraction from winning the premier league.

Argyle Life asked me to answer a few questions ahead of today’s game. For a different perspective, I’ve attached a link to their site and what’s happening at their club at the moment, including the answers I gave too.

I'm sure they enjoyed their Wembley win, but would have much preferred their Wembley glory to have been in the playoffs!

It's probably different for sides not expecting promotion, if a Bristol Rovers or Gillingham reached the Pizza cup final and finished midtable, that would be a good season for them
  • I'm putting up a Match thread. Be ready in a mo.

  • Strong strong team that. Think I'll buy and watch the game now.
  • Interesting! Wish I had the stream now!

Like the look of that team, resting s few players but still a strong looking side!
  • Great to see Maddison getting a start.
Give him about 60 minutes and then wrap him in cotton wool.
I still believe he can be a star for us this season.

    Me too
  • Strong team.

Are Shinnie and Smyth missing because Luton / Qpr do not want them Cup Tied?

Can't remember when we last had options like this....truly amazing.

Start of a glorious cup run where we miss out on being able to see famous victories at Tottenham Stadium and London Stadium.
    Maybe next year?
