Another spell of superb box-to-box football forces an opening, but Charlton charge down Hardie's effort inside the box. #pafc 0-0

To say Maddison looks rusty would be kind.

Chuks seems more effective as an impact sub than starting on today's form.
To be fair to him, he has been pretty isolated

That was a woeful ball from Purrington.

As much as we don’t care about Leyton game, I’d expect him to play again to get his fitness up to league level

What happened to Purrington? He used to be a solid 7/10 every game, he’s been plop this season
  • Jephcott sounds like some American investment company

Ref giving Chuks a talking to  (for kicking the ball away?)

That's why it's good he gets a game today. If he can play Tuesday as well he'll be well on the way to be starting in the League.

Yeah I think Bowyer said he'll be involved in that too.

Reasonable performance, not bad as it's pretty much the reserves plus Inniss & Aneke.

I guess we had a good first 15 minutes because I tuned in after that and it was pretty dire

Not really bothered about this one anyway

We've gotten into good positions but the final ball hasn't been there yet
  • listening on Devon radio .
    Charlton midfield being overrun.
Sounds as if Plymouth are all over us.

I'd like to see Pratley and Washington come on and us play 2 up front and have Pratley sit deep as the ball winner, the 5 man midfield right now is all too wishy washy and Aneke is isolated at times
  • Ipswich back in it 1-2
  • Reasonable half that. Maddison is looking very rusty, and Plymouth very dangerous on the counter.

Not really sure about the formation, I never like seeing Williams out on the left. Some of the balls Levitt has played through the lines has been great, would rather they were through to someone like a Williams in a central position thoughm

Morgan doing well closing down, think Bows will be pleased with that.
Maddison looks greedy AF at the moment, not sure it’ll be appreciated by his teammates. However it only takes one to go in and we’ll be buzzing on it.
Levitt improved and deserves to stay on for a bit of the second half at least.
Barker has been awesome so far. Him and Doughty coming back to us last season, are the silver linings of our depleted squad over the last few years.

Loving this random zooming that’s happening now.

Just let them rest surely? This isn't a game we need to win

Probably best described as adequate rather than inspiring so far. Barker definitely our MOTM, but I think their Camara probably gets it overall

I wouldn't call them all over us at all - they just look very good when they have the ball and go forwards.

We have also had some very good attacks as well. I'd say Plymouth probably shaded the half, but it's very end to end and has been an entertaining game for sure.
  • Game started quite exciting with pretty much end to end Football

Its settled down now with Plymouth controlling the game better without having too many clear chances

We've looked a threat going forward but as Leuth says, end ball hasnt been there

Maddison is a bit rusty and think Aneke would benefit more from having a Striker partner than on his own

Of the academy kids; Maynard-Brewer hasnt had overly been tested which is a bit disappointing to an extent, that partly down to Charlie Barker who has been outstanding in front of him, bit of a weird season for him playing Senior | U23 | U18 Football all in little over a week (?) - Albie Morgan has carried on from his performance against Fleetwood, his tracking back hasnt quite been there but thats partly down to playing closer to the Strikers rather than in a holding role

To be expected we look a little disjointed.

Maddison keen to get involved which is a good sign even if it's not all coming off.

Barker doing well, JFC trying to make things happen, Aneke having a tough game v a good centre half.

Plymouth look a good team though and became stronger as the half went on.

    First goal crucial.
