Why is that the club are saying that if you cannot make the game you cannot instead use your season ticket ca f c cash to stream the game. The club will not loose any money that way.
Exactly...one big problem if they keep it from the trial is being in the ground 90 minutes before ko. Working people can't make 5. 30 pm for 7.00 pm ko. Older people don't sit in the cold for such long periods either with no recourse to warming up on the concourse at half time. Not only do you loose the CAFC cash, when you tell them they then have the right to sell the seat on again. I don't mind that but blocking my CAFC money and making me pay £10 to stream direct is simply unfair.
The email doesn’t stipulate what time you have to be there or how long you will be held back . I would say that’s quite important information as I don’t want to be leaving the ground a silly o’clock and not being able to get a train back to Bedfordshire.
I've had three emails (all addressed to someone called Alex :-) ), one for each of my daughters and one for me. Our accounts were linked and we have the same address. Are yours all registered to the same address?
Yeh accounts linked and registered at the same address

Arrival time & other information to follow, probably.
We will be sending further information about what you can expect on the matchday closer to the time, so please keep an eye on your emails for further correspondence.
I've just emailed the club asking them to find a new home for our two tickets, mine and my grandson's.
I wouldn't normally expect to take little 'un to a midweek game (under-11 season tickets are cheap enough not to worry about a few matches on a school night that he can't attend) and I have my own reasons for not going but given the limited attendance possible on Wednesday it only seems right that the ticket office has the opportunity to find someone who is able to go in our place.
Well done to the club for trying to make it work at such short notice.
As someone who has missed only a dozen home games since the mid 1960s, and been a season ticket holder since 1974, I want to be there Wednesday as I do for every game.
For good reason many won’t want / be able to use their ticket if they win in the ballot. It would be great if those people could email the club immediately so there is a chance the club could then offer it to someone else.
I’m leaving it as late as possible to order my stream in the hope I get a message from the club offering me a ticket. I can get to The Valley at short notice.
But the club will be racing against time to get everything ready, so there’ll be no criticism from me. Even if the crowd is well below 2,000.
Good luck to all those involved.
Given your attendance over the years it would be a shame if you did not get in. I'd still go on the off chance of getting a ticket.
Elfsborg, you are welcome to my seat until it is safe for me to go...I just object to the club saying it is safe thereforvif I don't go I loose my CAFC money. I never saw that stunt coming.
That is very nice of you to offer, thanks. Unfortunately due to my own ill health I will not be able to attend. Perhaps others here will be able to take you up on this.
Just received two emails about successfully being chosen. As I'm diabetic I sent the ticket office an email declining their offer and proof and want to opt out for the time being.
There was a short questionnaire asking how you would get to the game AND (as I answered train) whether you would be travelling Kent bound or London bound

The rules to abide by came later in September. Do look out for them because last time in September it only went ahead provided the club and fans abide by said rules. The club did stress this. It is not fun sitting there for 90 minutes. You can't stand on the concourse as it is inside.
Not being allowed to stand in the concourse area is a bit much. You'll probably need a time slot to have a piddle.
So I am guessing those that have missed out this time will automatically get a ticket for the AFC game if there are more then 860 people living in tier3 and opting out?
Meaning of you have MK Dons you will get Bristol Rovers and the others AFC and Plymouth?

Hard to say but it would make sense to offer each group a weekday and Saturday game each. Who knows, by time opt out opt in system is done perhaps everyone who wants to go to each game will be able to
Same, there is no way I’m getting there for 6pm as I don’t finish work until 5:30. What happens if you can’t make the time..I doubt they’ll turn people away.
It's quite simply staggering that someone chose to purchase a season ticket in a pandemic, that is the worst in all of our lives and is then outraged at the possibility that they may be allowed to attend and instead demands a refund.
I wonder how many ticket agencies would refund me, if I bought tickets for 20 different gigs today and then next week I contact the venues and say I can't attend due to Covid & my age & health?
I think the answer may be less than 1.
But the club needed the money and chose to sell them to fans. So are the club in the wrong for selling them or fans who bought them hoping to be able to go and watch them?
Neither, I don't think you understood my post you have quoted. Fans who bought them that don't want to go and be refunded are my point. Why buy something if you don't want it, but you do want a refund? Perhaps they did not understand what a pandemic is?
Sounds like you may not understand what a pandemic is and why some season ticket holders either can’t or don’t want to go to the match.
In my case, I would in normal times expect to miss one or two matches a season if they’ve clashed with me being overseas or I’ve had a function to attend. I wouldn’t expect a refund in those circumstances. These are exceptional times, however, and I would expect to at least be able to watch the home games for free on Valley Pass. I can at the moment because of the cafc cash that’s been ‘refunded’. If i’m successful in the ballot and don’t go it sounds like I won’t qualify for the cafc cash for Wednesday’s match and I’d have to stump up more money to watch the game. Maybe that’s fair but it’s not a great incentive for me and others to buy another season ticket when the next pandemic hits and disrupts the season, which it will.
I fully understand why us S/T holders can't or don't wish to attend. I don't understand the abuse a S/T holder throws at the club who have only had a few working days to the first game.
Perhaps the fan "throwing his toys out the pram", may try and understand that the Tiers were only very recently announced and the club had to make a very quick decision and announcement.
I'm confident that they will come up with a fairer system for the next home game, when they have had the time to do so. I do object to all the abuse that was aimed at the club in an almost impossible position to resolve in a few working days.
Neither you nor I felt it fitting to abuse the club, we simply expressed our concerns in a calm and rational manner.
So 4,861 fans who between them probably put up a million quid of cash for the club to use (fully knowing the pandemic wasn’t over when a lot of other fans decided to wait and see what happens) are put on short notice that they are going to potentially lose out if they don’t go to the game and will effectively have to pay twice to watch the game shouldn’t feel aggrieved?
I never said that. I feel they should be aggrieved, but I repeat once again, the club have only had a few days to sort this out. Personally, I feel the club should be given enough time to deal with matters properly, without abuse and threats to stop supporting the club etc etc. If the club haven't got it right by the next game, then I may criticise.

Was going to say the same thing surely its just in hope that more people than not show up earlier to avoid queues etc !?
Im pretty sure they cant turn you away if we show up later
Just had two emails saying I had been successful in the ballot - even though I live in a Tier 3 area. Can’t get through to ticket office by phone but have sent email saying they have made a mistake. Hope my honesty pays off in the Range Rover draw!

The fact they have opened all stands helps reduce the queues I would imagine
I’ve had a right touch: Entry time 6:45! Not far from where I normally sit. Looking forward to this now. Cue heavy defeat on Wednesday.
I’m about to move house, from Essex to Maidstone. We’re at the point of exchange. So I’m now stalling on exchanging contracts until Kent is moved to tier 2 in the hope of getting to more games. I think 16 December is the next government review of the tiers.

Sitting 2 seats from my usual one in the East Stand

Mines' 6.45pm which is perfect!
