As someone who hasn't missed an accessible home game in decades safe to say I am not enthused by the way things have been done. I am assuming I did not get selected as the page is greyed out (no e-mail yet either way but it seems those who are going have had theirs by now).

I’m sort of hoping that another ballot will take place at 1:00pm tomorrow when the club will know how many have not taken up their seats. Otherwise the ground might only be 70% (my guess) of capacity.
Sadly based on the club's comments I don't feel there is any hope as clearly there isn't the time to arrange anything with regards to tickets that have not been taken up. They said as much on the original article (no criticism intended of that, just making the observation).
Bizarre part is I don't even have any photo ID anyway and my only way of proving my ID with a photo is to take a Charlton programme that had an article on myself. Assumed that would be acceptable as the club produced my proof so to speak.
Just received two emails about successfully being chosen. As I'm diabetic I sent the ticket office an email declining their offer and proof and want to opt out for the time being.
Got a reply from the ticket office asking for my fan ID, pretty quick reply from them.
Also just got a text saying I'd got a ticket or to text 87800 Addicks Stop to opt out.
Got another email saying I've been removed from the ballot, well done the Ticket Office for sorting this quickly.
Just wondering if the ticket will be reallocated to someone who missed out.
After all season ticket holders have had a go, are they going to do something for the fans who have been paying to watch the games?
Until the restrictions on capacity are increased to above the amount of season ticket holders there is no way any others fans can get tickets. Paying £10.00 per game for a stream is on offer to everybody at present, i'm not sure why the club should do anything more for people buying the streams. People seem to forget the money from streams is nowhere near the same as what it would be from ticket revenue.
And money from ST holders isn't the same as walkups either... just saying.
There's not a chance the full 2000 allocation will be used each week, would be a shame if a % isn't kept back (down the line) for online sales/VG etc
I received the e-mail of a ticket, but living in Greater Manchester, Tier 3, I'm not supposed to travel into Tier 2 areas. I have e-mailed the club explaining the situation, but have had no reply. Does anyone know if the club is using this as a valid excuse to opt out, as the only reason quoted was if you are over 70.
It’s likely I’ve not read this correctly, but only season tickets holders will be in this ballot, and if they win then tickets are £40-75 each. So season ticket holders have to pay for the game on top of what they’ve paid for the season ticket?
I think the weakness in the system is that unlike other clubs who seem to have implemented a more easier allocation process, what Charlton have done is probably too efficient. For example my brother is a Chelsea Women's ST holder- their approach is simply to invite any ST holder to apply for a ticket with just a statement that Tier 3 people should not apply -but they are not carrying out an exercise to exclude them and have instead relied on them being honest about things. That clearly involves a major H&S risk if Tier 3 people apply for a ticket when they should not. The Charlton way takes them out of the equation in total but the downside is that people who don't want a ticket may get that chance?

Wouldn't think so as a season ticket should guarantee you a ticket for every game so , it should be just season ticket holders continuiously going in the ballot. That's the point in buying one.
A lot of fans did not buy a season ticket because they did not want to prop up the crooks trying to destroy the Club. Not for a minute would I suggest that season ticket holders who did not renew are better fans in anyway, but as you are using the money in your account to stream the games I don’t think that makes much of a difference.
We have had the discussion several times over why some fans don’t/can’t buy season tickets, and there a lot of very understandable reasons. Season ticket holders would not lose out in anyway financially, and the odds would be stacked in your favour, so I don’t see why those who have still supported the club by buying streams should be totally excluded. Well, other than the me me me attitude. Would you not like to see every fan given a chance to see a match this season?

Haven't had an email saying either I have or I've not. And I'd prefer to be able to opt out - because I won't go for health reasons - and if the club knows this and were going to pick me, then I'd be blocking one of the 2000 tickets that could've gone to someone else who is able to attend.
Did say in the 'CAFC bubbles survey' thing that I am deemed clinically vulnerable so I would hope they've cross-referenced that?
(Apologies if this has been picked up in earlier posts - I jumped to the end of this thread...)
I don’t think they’ve looked at the surveys we filled in a few months ago for this match (so you could be selected if you live in a tier 2 area), but the message from the Trust suggests the club are meeting over efficiencies (including easier opt out options) for future matches.
I mentioned the "bubbles" on here the other day as I believed this information we provided would be crucial to the planning for this.
Surely this has to be included in future arrangements ?
With a capacity of only 2,000 it is probably impossible to seat people in adjacent seats/in bubbles without reducing the capacity even more.
Sorry, Clive but I don't believe that is a valid excuse.
We've already read instances here of Lifers who have received successful emails for children and not the adult in a group....How can that be correct policy ?
What was the point of us forwarding our required information re bubbles if it wasn't going to be used ?

I fit in that category, didn't want to buy with the other lot involved, plus can't commit to every single game with a toddler at home during a pandemic. Would have been all over a half ST in jan though once the shitty months had passed (not a fair weather fan, just didn't think it was fair to dump the mrs at home twice per week during the winter

There are 4,800odd season ticket holders at least 2,000 will not be allowed to attend some games until a higher capacity is allowed, some of these will be Valley Gold members, people with over 600 loyalty points etc. The club is having to reimburse season ticket holders every game they are not allowed to attend, how or why should the club keep back tickets. Some people seem to think that season ticket holders are somehow privileged to attend matches that they have actually paid a lot of money upfront to attend.

Exactly. There are others that work shifts, some Saturdays, live far away, at University, can’t afford it.
Now we have a twat trying to make a profit from selling his ticket which is against the rules. He should have his season ticket withdrawn.

They given people a deadline of 1pm tomorrow to select their seat presumably to allow time for the remaining seats to be offered

Sweet, so you'll get to watch approximately 50% of the remaining games or get your money back. Theres nothing to complian about is there really ? Apologies for suggesting it might be nice in a month or 2, if a small % were kept aside for others.
