After all season ticket holders have had a go, are they going to do something for the fans who have been paying to watch the games?
Wouldn't think so as a season ticket should guarantee you a ticket for every game so , it should be just season ticket holders continuiously going in the ballot. That's the point in buying one.
A lot of fans did not buy a season ticket because they did not want to prop up the crooks trying to destroy the Club. Not for a minute would I suggest that season ticket holders who did not renew are better fans in anyway, but as you are using the money in your account to stream the games I don’t think that makes much of a difference.
We have had the discussion several times over why some fans don’t/can’t buy season tickets, and there a lot of very understandable reasons. Season ticket holders would not lose out in anyway financially, and the odds would be stacked in your favour, so I don’t see why those who have still supported the club by buying streams should be totally excluded. Well, other than the me me me attitude. Would you not like to see every fan given a chance to see a match this season?
I fit in that category, didn't want to buy with the other lot involved, plus can't commit to every single game with a toddler at home during a pandemic. Would have been all over a half ST in jan though once the shitty months had passed (not a fair weather fan, just didn't think it was fair to dump the mrs at home twice per week during the winter
Exactly. There are others that work shifts, some Saturdays, live far away, at University, can’t afford it.
Now we have a twat trying to make a profit from selling his ticket which is against the rules. He should have his season ticket withdrawn.

Until the restrictions on capacity are increased to above the amount of season ticket holders there is no way any others fans can get tickets. Paying £10.00 per game for a stream is on offer to everybody at present, i'm not sure why the club should do anything more for people buying the streams. People seem to forget the money from streams is nowhere near the same as what it would be from ticket revenue.
And money from ST holders isn't the same as walkups either... just saying.
There's not a chance the full 2000 allocation will be used each week, would be a shame if a % isn't kept back (down the line) for online sales/VG etc
There are 4,800odd season ticket holders at least 2,000 will not be allowed to attend some games until a higher capacity is allowed, some of these will be Valley Gold members, people with over 600 loyalty points etc. The club is having to reimburse season ticket holders every game they are not allowed to attend, how or why should the club keep back tickets. Some people seem to think that season ticket holders are somehow privileged to attend matches that they have actually paid a lot of money upfront to attend.
Sweet, so you'll get to watch approximately 50% of the remaining games or get your money back. Theres nothing to complian about is there really ? Apologies for suggesting it might be nice in a month or 2, if a small % were kept aside for others.
I'm not the one complaining, i would rather be watching the 23 home games i've paid for, any compensation means nothing to me.

As much as I appreciate that, expecting to attend all 23 games during a pandemic was misguided.

My name is Michael and I work as a video producer for The Times. We are looking to do a story about fans returning to stadiums on Wednesday. We want to focus on the Charlton Athletic game on Wednesday night and do some filming with fans to put on the website the next day. Would it be possible to be put in contact with fans that might be interested in taking part?
Could you give me a call on 07926402362 to discuss further
Still no email confirming either way for me yet. I'd have thought the ballot was drawn at the same time and then you just sent out bulk emails? Finding it a bit annoying
My suggestion for what the club should consider is from the Wimbledon game on the 12th there will be a new system. What they simply need to do is allow all supporters to apply for home games in December. This means non-season ticket holders have to be willing to watch/pay for every game if selected in the draw.
Priority should be given to season ticket holders who wish to be included, which will mean they can't opt out of games in December if selected. If 2k season ticket holders elect to be included, then that will be that.
I would imagine there would be no danger of not getting 2k using this system. Season tickets holders should apply via one e-mail and non season ticket holders another.
The club could also notify supporters in Tier 3 areas that they should not apply and if they do, they risk losing their money.

Only if whoever gets interviewed can name drop Chris Farnell in every sentence

I’d like to think if from the initial selected batch there’s still 400/500 unclaimed seats come 1pm tomorrow, the club has a contingency next step lined up to address that.
The process implemented would have been the wrong one if the turnout is that much under when so many other ST holders want and are able to go

Such a shame that the club can't share this next step with fans so those who can make plans at 1 day's notice still have a chance of attending....
Oh, of course, there's the OS !
(Sorry but am getting a bit frazzled at all this and no-one wants a frazzled Fanny...)

Same here. Heard nothing. I'm pretty sure there will not be 2,000 at the game. Realise this has been short notice for the club but they need to organise things better for the next home game.

I can barley hold on for 12 minutes let alone 12 hours!!

Can't be bothered to go though so i binned it.
Or, if you prefer, "cxxx".
It seems feasible there may be a further offer at 1pm tomorrow.
