I fit in that category, didn't want to buy with the other lot involved, plus can't commit to every single game with a toddler at home during a pandemic. Would have been all over a half ST in jan though once the shitty months had passed (not a fair weather fan, just didn't think it was fair to dump the mrs at home twice per week during the winterRedrobo said:
A lot of fans did not buy a season ticket because they did not want to prop up the crooks trying to destroy the Club. Not for a minute would I suggest that season ticket holders who did not renew are better fans in anyway, but as you are using the money in your account to stream the games I don’t think that makes much of a difference.northstandsteve said:Redrobo said:After all season ticket holders have had a go, are they going to do something for the fans who have been paying to watch the games?
Wouldn't think so as a season ticket should guarantee you a ticket for every game so , it should be just season ticket holders continuiously going in the ballot. That's the point in buying one.We have had the discussion several times over why some fans don’t/can’t buy season tickets, and there a lot of very understandable reasons. Season ticket holders would not lose out in anyway financially, and the odds would be stacked in your favour, so I don’t see why those who have still supported the club by buying streams should be totally excluded. Well, other than the me me me attitude.
Would you not like to see every fan given a chance to see a match this season? Now we have a twat trying to make a profit from selling his ticket which is against the rules. He should have his season ticket withdrawn.1 -
Part of the problem will be the tier review every two weeks, Kent (or part of) may come up to tier 2, London may go down to tier 3!MuttleyCAFC said:My suggestion for what the club should consider is from the Wimbledon game on the 12th there will be a new system. What they simply need to do is allow all supporters to apply for home games in December. This means non-season ticket holders have to be willing to watch/pay for every game if selected in the draw.
Priority should be given to season ticket holders who wish to be included, which will mean they can't opt out of games in December if selected. If 2k season ticket holders elect to be included, then that will be that.
I would imagine there would be no danger of not getting 2k using this system. Season tickets holders should apply via one e-mail and non season ticket holders another.
The club could also notify supporters in Tier 3 areas that they should not apply and if they do, they risk losing their money.2 -
Do we think theses will go on general sale.0

Season-ticket holders who were successful in the ballot for a ticket to Wednesday's game against Milton Keynes Dons will have been sent email confirmation on Monday giving them instructions on how to redeem their ticket for the game.Supporters were given 24 hours to redeem their seats, which must be redeemed by 1pm on Tuesday, December 1st. Supporters can get in contact with the ticket office if they have any queries.Supporters aged over 70-years-old or with underlying health conditions will have the opportunity to opt out. This means a few more tickets will become available on Tuesday - based on those opting out and those not redeeming. These tickets will be decided by a ballot of season-ticket holders, in the same way the tickets were initially distributed. Season-ticket holders who didn’t receive an email on Monday are advised to keep an eye on their email and junk email on Tuesday.Season-ticket holders who are not successful in the ballot will have CAFC Cash uploaded to their accounts in time to purchase a streaming pass for Wednesday’s game using CAFC Cash. The club would like to thank the supporters for their patience at this time. Everyone at the club has been working hard to get supporters back to the stadium and we’re looking forward to seeing those that are able to attend at The Valley on Wednesday.https://www.cafc.co.uk/news/view/5fc53b35cf0ce/update-regarding-supporters-attending-wednesdays-game-at-the-valley

Really good to see what looks like the club learning and listening through this. It’s all unique. Hopefully everyone who is qualified and wanting to go will now get one.19

This is how our neighbours are organising ticket allocation.

I think that's the fairest and best the club can do in such short notice.clive said:Season-ticket holders who were successful in the ballot for a ticket to Wednesday's game against Milton Keynes Dons will have been sent email confirmation on Monday giving them instructions on how to redeem their ticket for the game.

https://www.millwallfc.co.uk/news/2020/november/millwall-confirm-season-ticket-holder-attendance-plans/Will I be able to buy food/drink at the ground?Yes. Food/drink kiosks will be open around The Den but the sale of alcohol is not permitted while the club has to operate under Tier 2 regulations. However, there will be a ticket upgrade option available whereby supporters can pay for a substantial meal in the Executive Lounge where the sale of alcohol will be allowed.
Presumably that would only be allowed if the person sat by themselves, or in household bubbles?0 -
Got my email now, link does exactly the same and doesn’t let me purchase. Might have something to do with the fact the email is addressed to my daughter but sent to my email address. Looks like somehow the club have somehow mixed the 2 up.
hopefully someone gets back to me in the morning to sort out0 -
The club contacted CAST early evening today to talk things through. They are doing their utmost to get 2K in for Weds if they possibly can. It is v complex with all the restrictions - taking train times into account for entry times, having to move position of programme sellers, needing stewards on all the toilets to maintain social distancing etc etc - loads of detailed stuff to put into place.
We know they only met with Royal Borough of Greenwich on Friday re safety approval. The ticket office staff had mainly been on furlough. Then they have all the issues of balloting and ticket priority with many more considerations than usual.
They are absolutely doing their best - it may not be perfect for every individual situation but they will review and learn from this for future games - though even that will be dependent on Gov announcements and changes at short notice beyond their control.
Oh, and it will cost them more to stage the game with spectators present, of course, and no incremental ticket income.
Let's bear with them, live and learn and support the fact that they have pulled out the stops to be the first London team to stage a match.

Those rip roaring reds have been cracking away without physical support and got us to the top end of the table.
So, can the 2000 please "make some noise for the boys".
A day is going to come (probably Spring), when we are going to pack 20k+ in the Valley and show the new lads what it's really like to play for Charlton.

I’m very certain no one at the club told you that you “would have to go if chosen” - it’s a third division football match not bloody military conscription.addick1956 said:
I queried my position very early on Fridsy. I got a reply on Saturday early saying I would have to go if chosen or produce a shielding letter which I have never received. Many people who perhaps should have didn't.Fanny Fanackapan said:This is NOT a criticism per se but most of the questions/complaints from Lifers today could have been foreseen & discussed over the period of time Bob Munro indicated since clubs were made aware of the upcoming situation.
We also knew that the DA postcodes would cause problems ( see BFG94's post above) but some stated this would be dealt with....How many other Kent residents will be offered tickets and decide not to query it ?
Then we hear that under 18s/younger children have been offered a ticket but NOT the adult in the same household.
My fear is that this is going to be a fiasco and may well have implications on the forthcoming matches which those of us missing out on Weds evening will suffer....
Well done to CAST for endeavouring to indicate the problematical areas of the issue but sadly, I think the horse had already bolted.
However I lodged a claim that even without underlying conditions 70 plus are more vulnerable to Covid .
I have not yet received a reply. I did phone the club to opt out in the end. Never the less no e-mail. I was shocked by the club's initial response as it flies in the face of all government advice at this time.

I live in Swale which has a very high Covid rate so it will be a while before I can attend. The day we can go the the Valley again and be packed in, jump up and down and enjoy is when this awful pandemic will be over.
This will all be in the rear view soon & we will all be there in May when we are promoted once again - what a day that will be!3 -
My mates season ticket is registered in Swanley which who are currently tier3 COVID. He managed to get a ticket because two of the people in his bubble live in SE London. Doesn't sound right to me.Covered End said:

Elfsborg, you are welcome to my seat until it is safe for me to go...I just object to the club saying it is safe thereforvif I don't go I loose my CAFC money. I never saw that stunt coming.ElfsborgAddick said:
Given your attendance over the years it would be a shame if you did not get in.SX_Addick said:Well done to the club for trying to make it work at such short notice. As someone who has missed only a dozen home games since the mid 1960s, and been a season ticket holder since 1974, I want to be there Wednesday as I do for every game. For good reason many won’t want / be able to use their ticket if they win in the ballot. It would be great if those people could email the club immediately so there is a chance the club could then offer it to someone else.I’m leaving it as late as possible to order my stream in the hope I get a message from the club offering me a ticket. I can get to The Valley at short notice. But the club will be racing against time to get everything ready, so there’ll be no criticism from me. Even if the crowd is well below 2,000.Good luck to all those involved.
I'd still go on the off chance of getting a ticket.
You need to bring photo ID (at least you did for the trial game).0 -

Interesting to note that out of (presumably) 2k ST holders having been emailed today only around half have responded & gone on to buy a ticket. I can only assume that many of the remaining 50% either can't go (shielding / logistical ) or don't want to go (too old /cold / can't be arsed). I therefore expect quite a few tickets to be going back into the pile for a 2nd tranche after 1pm on Tuesday. But this is where I think it will become interesting as I reckon quite a few of the remaining 2800 odd that weren't lucky first time will be in tier 3 & therefore are barred anyway. In fact I would be amazed that 2000 out of the 4860 are in tier 2. Maybe that is the real reason why only 50% so far have been bought & you might find that a few tickets will have to go on general sale next time around.0 -
For the next home matches the club will have more time to do phases like they do with away games, so that I imagine the ST holders will have first dibs but afterwards there will be chance for other registered supporters to also buy ticketsgolfaddick said:

The Saturday game (Wimbledon on the 12th) will be popular, but then we have a Tuesday game 3 days later which I imagine will be less so.2 -
Asking for a friend...Mates 10yr old has been given a ticket, rest of family don’t...🙄,so I take it he just has to drop him at the turnstiles at his allotted time with his iPad & bag of haribo’s & a nice friendly steward will show him to his sit & baby sit from a distance...then woken up at final whistle & ushered out to be picked up for home...🤔,mate can’t fathom out how that has been able to happen with his allocation, obviously that seat now won’t be taken either...he is asking is there a way to notify club,so ticket can be re-distributed
cheers0
