  • Definite dive there by Smyth. Poor.

Sounds like a Watson booking coming up
At this rate, he'll be suspended again by Christmas.

  • Smyth has done well... But can see why he doesn't score many
  • Did Maatsen suffer some sort of trauma during the international break?
  • Lovely header from Chuks in the centre circle to Smyth, who falls over at the edge of the D. Don't think it was a foul there, though he got pulled back earlier in the run.

Is there a market on the minutes Watson will get booked?
Needs a few more so he is on lockdown over Christmas  :)
  • Poor from Symth

Our puritanical fans from the Maradona thread will be outraged
  • 45+1 Nsiala has gotten away with one. Smyth was through on goal and was pulled back by the defender. It would have been a red, but the referee doesn't even give a free-kick. #itfc 0 #cafc 1

Smyth only fell over, he didn't leap and punch the ball in the net.

When Terry Smith calls it better than our Twitter feed, it's time to check yourself ;)

Kin hell. Who runs our twitter account?
  • HALF-TIME | Albie Morgan's goal is the difference at the break. Keep it going, lads! #cafc

  • HT 1-0. Interestingly there's 4 of our players having a word with the ref now.
  • Has anyone ever see Watson running ?
  • Be interesting to see if Chuks can do a 2nd half as well, god hope so we need him soooo much

  • Judge found guilty of a bad foul

Judge might end up on the bench.
  • I think if we mix it up a little bit and don't look to hit Chuks every time, we could really storm this lot
  • Solid enough half that.

Wonder if the directness is a reaction to last week, or a tactical thing. I feel like we've looked pretty comfortable, apart from a couple of balls over the top from them, and feel like we are more likely to score another.

Frustrating that we can never look like this in games where we have the majority of the possession.

A good game, both teams seem a bit weak at the back so getting it forward quickly. We're looking really good in attacking areas, we have some really good technical players

    He is looking shaky.
The problem is Chelsea are so strong in their youth teams that most of the time Ruud (Ian) is attacking and he is still learning the art of defending.
  • Well, we're winning. Not sure it's totally deserved.

Thank Heavens though that we've stopped pit-pattering around at the back. So noticeably different to the other night. It may not look so pretty but at least my heart is not constantly in my mouth.

Good to see Williams and Morgan having good games.

This game is there for the taking, especially now Norwood has gone off for them. Anything less than 3 points will be disappointing.

Or just keep it how it is... We look comfortable. No interest in slaughtering teams this year, scrappy 1-0 in each game is fine by me
  • They carry a threat, but technically Ipswich look quite ordinary, more like a typical hard working L1 side rather than a (relatively) recently relegated Championship side

You’re saying you want Bogle on for Smyth and long balls up two target men?
