    Gareth Barry was asked recently the difference between Villa training and Man city training: the answer was the training session were more intense at City and players were natural winners so there were fights and harder tackles !

    Maybe it's just the Charlton curse that lingers under good or bad ownership ?

    Probably dropped but hidden behind the "has to isolate" mantra.

    Used a lot this year when you'd rather stay in & watch tv than go see your  boyfriend/girlfriend.

    Back 4 will be fine. Key thing is there is at least one natural centre back there and Pratley has looked more comfortable filling in there than Gunter. It’s a left footed and right footed pair too and Pearce is an organiser which will help the overall defensive unit too.

    Actually think this team looks ok. It’s at least balanced and I suspect a “free role” will be how we may eventually get the best out of Maddison (need a decent showing from him). 

    Main concern is the general lack of pace but without Smyth and Alfie there’s not a lot we can do there. 

    This must’ve been one of the first weeks for ages where they’ve had Monday to Friday together on the training pitch with no internationals away. Hopeful that shows in some general improvements to the pattern of play etc.
