Henderson not even fit enough for 30 minutes rings an alarm bell.
Hasnt played since February though, probably going to be eased in a little bit more
Don't call him up if he's not fit.
He's been called up for the Euros, not tonight.
He'll have to play 3 games in 9 days there. That's before the knockout stages.
Hasn't played since February. We were better off going with Ward-Prowse.
Who says he'll have to play three games in nine days?
If we cant get through the Group Stages without needing Henderson too much then we're in bloody trouble... Get him fit for the knockout stages and go from there.
Second Round against Portugal, France or Germany is the one they should be focusing on starting him in for the first time.

Not necessarily, he can play a bit in one or two. It's a gamble from Southgate I agree but the boss clearly feel it's worth it. If he can get himself fully fit for the knockout stages he could be an asset. JWP wouldn't have started either, so clearly Southgate thinks Henderson is a better bet to have on the bench.

He plays a stinker because he's not match fit and we're out.
We shouldn't be taking risks on unfit players, when has that ever worked out for us?

Or he has a stormer because he's fresher than everyone else and we go through... Works both ways when we don't have a clue what'll happen
Not sure where I saw the posts recently about Wallcharts for the Euro's but wanted to say that it's easy to find then online. Just googled it & downloaded one from The Telegraph.
Good to see that UEFA have liased with the USPGA & not got any games on at 8pm on Fathers Day......or should I say, the final round of the US Open.
There is always plenty of time to replace Henderson with Ward-Prowse... Southgate had to make a choice, he'd look an even bigger dick if Jordan showed his fitness and got added to the squad with Ward-Prowse dropped in favour of a better playe

It hasn't worked out previously, but we've taken gambles on players and heavily relied on them. If we didn't take Henderson and took JWP instead, would he be starting regularly? I seriously doubt it. I see either player as being someone on the bench and coming on for fresh legs/seeing a game out, for which Henderson's ability and experience could be vital.

Can we bring players in and out now?
Yes - Can make unlimited changes up until 11th June
Guess Sundays game against Romania will be the interesting one as guess we'll have the Man City | Chelsea | Man Utd players available... Would want to see an inprovement, as Karim says, Austria looked better second half, our second string team that came on didnt look good enough

Deadline to submit 26 man squad was June 1st. If a player named in the squad later suffers injury or illness they can be replaced by another player.
Not sure “unlimited changes” is technically correct?

https://theathletic.com/news/euro-2020-final-squad-deadline/biaP7hRnaSRa Unlimited changes are permitted prior to the first game on Friday, June 11 due to serious injury or illness, including a positive test of COVID-19 or close contact. If a player is replaced, they are not allowed to return to the squad after that stage.
Repeating what I said this afternoon, just don’t think Henderson is important / influential enough to hang such a hat on. 4 months out injured loses base fitness and match fitness, you’d need at least two 90 min games to get up to match fit, particularly an engine room position. Is a half fit Henderson a better bet than a fully fit Ward Prowse?
We arent good enough to carry players to fitness.
Now they’re suggesting Maguire won’t be fit for any of the group games

Players walking off with Lumps kicked out of them. What was the point of it?
International Managers dont exactly get long to work with them
Yeah wouldnt want to rush playing Austria in a pre-tournament game again!!
