Its a bit like Bowyer tactics - keep changing the team. What’s the point of these friendlies when we play the B or C team to give them experience and then when the tournament starts we look like a team devoid of ideas. I think we should have a settled 15 and the youngsters brought into the first eleven depending on what’s going on during the match.
3 at the back? If Maguire is going to be injured I have a feeling Southgate may switch to a 3 to add an extra centre half - try and cover the weaker area of the team.
I wonder whether Southgate is considering Godfrey as CB cover instead of Trent but is wondering if he can be right back cover too (as if we need any more but there we go).
Obviously it’s great that players of ‘smaller’ clubs now get a chance to play for England and they don’t get ignored in the way they once did, but I can’t help but feel Southgate takes it too far in some cases.

Also, we could equally argue that we're more determined to boo.
God knows what formation we're playing as cant even see a recognised Right-Back amongst that lot
Thought we’d use this as a warm up for our actual side. Instead we’re playing a B team again.
3 Keepers on the bench hopefully isn't covering a number of injury concerns...
Bizarrely twitter saw it as another excuse to moan when the reasoning behind the comment was quite clear
Thats normally what happens come the Tournament
If your not in the starting eleven, your on the bench, there is no absense from the squad like in the club game.
Spot on.
Instead we have 3 players starting who aren't even in the main squad and 3 keepers on the bench.
Woefully off form
Rashford showing again how wasteful he is and Sancho can’t seem to find top gear in an England shirt.
Positive is the players I expect to start have looked good.
If we have to play Mings at any point I’m getting a bible out.
