Couldn’t he have bought one of the successful clubs and rebranded them ?

I don't think we had a women's club when we did that. We do now. It would be wrong to fold that or have them competing under another name. The team seems to be doing well with a lack of resources (I know this has been a tough season but they are not cut adrift) and now it has more resources. A good place to start.
Can’t find a way to follow the Women’s matches live, but we were 1-0 up against Liverpool at halftime today. No idea what’s happened since.
The FA Player carries one Championship game per weekend live, then has highlights and reruns of all the games available later in the day. About 1 game in 5 will get covered. Highlights also go up on the women's team's Youtube page. The team Twitter feed is usually good for live updates.
I coached my daughter's team over here and she went on to play in college. She's 29 now and still plays in a women's league. Women's soccer is very big over here but most of the women's national team I believe are playing in Europe. Needless to say I have a lot of time for the women's game and hoping to watch CAFC on TV over here. Well done TS.
He is, the women's team owe him a great deal of gratitude over the years and also not forgetting Alan Watts (RIP) who also made a large financial contribution over time.
There is literally an army of volunteers over the years, I see even my balding head made it into the back of both promotion photo's! And Sue Prior whom Stephen mentions who kept it all together and gave up a hell of a lot of her own, unpaid, time.
I've spoken to Stephen since the news and his comment to me of "It was the right thing to do, at the right time and to the right new owner." which just about sums up his dedication and selflessness.
I hope he continues to play an active part as he has a lot of knowledge to pass on, same for Sue and the volunteers keep on volunteering.
