Doubts over the favourite in the next for me. Definitely think it’s gone too short.

2.30 - Just like my advice for the Fred Winter, my overarching advice is this: choose what you like. You can make a case for LOADS in this. Willie Mullins is an obvious starting point, and for that reason I will be siding with Koshari (1pt EW @ 9/1, 1/4 1-6 with Bet365, but there are LOADS of differing place terms/odds so use Oddschecker), who is a HUGE shout particularly if his jumping is tidier. Nicky Henderson has been good in this of late and Craigneiche and Monte Cristo both merit consideration, but are too short for my liking. I'm going to take a huge speculative punt on Tea Clipper (0.5pts EW @ 50/1, 1/5 odds 1-7 with Betfair/PP/Sky), who has big questions about the trip, but with so many places you never know.

    SUMMARY:

    1.20 - 1pt win Bear Ghylls @ 9/1
    1.55 - No bet
    2.30 - 1pt EW Koshari @ 9/1; 0.5pts EW Tea Clipper @ 50/1
    3.05 - 1pt EW Nube Negra @ 11/1
    3.40 - No bet
    4.15 - 0.5pts EW Duc Des Genievres @ 25/1; 0.5pts EW Not That Fuisse @ 16/1
    4.50 - No bet

Staked: 8pts (not loads less than yesterday and it's all each way plays, so hopefully one wins and we're in business)
Tea Clipper for a place at 50s which was the prevailing odds at the time (33s SP)!

That is a nice 5.5pts so hoping for a little bit more back later.
Nube Negra arrrgghhhh man. Returns 3.2pts but very much a case of what could've been

Had it on the nose ffs
  • Easysland is a lay at evens or under in my view
  • I had both nube and clippers. See paddy isn’t just about sexy shirts 😂😂😂
  • chacun should win but 1st time round Cheltenham and it can expose weaknesses I think my pick of first flow needed a lot more rain hopefully can run into a place.
    Half right ☹️☹️

Agreed, be more shocked than I was at Chacon losing anyway.
  • Backed Easyland @2/1 inplay
  • Backed Easyland @2/1 inplay

I jumped on at 2.3s too... fingers crossed
  • Bollocks

  • That was fantastic
  • Favourites have been underwhelming today.
  • Impressive
  • Now retire it - made up for the horse and even better when I’ve backed 21 or more Irish trained winners at 14/1
  • Wow that was brilliant from Tiger. Rolling back the years.
  • That was class, cant believe everyone was avoiding him. Feel stupid not being on him, just felt after the last showing he looked a bit done. Well happy such a great horse and great run.
  • Absolutely fantastic. I take back saying he was finished after the final part of the Boyne Hurdle!

Great performance. Easysland had the profile of a bust today so not sure it's as good as it will look in the form book based on ratings but remarkable to see nonetheless.

Great run by Alpha Des Obeaux.
Enjoying decent ground for the first time in a while and will likely relish similar going back over the spruce at Aintree.
Plenty worse each value than ADO's 80/1 - still available from Bob...... be rude not to   ;)
