Christ. If the demand is that high, then I’m surprised they didn’t go for an outdoor stadium.
Then again the unpredictable British weather might have been a concern. Probably why the only big show they’ve done over here since 1992 was in Cardiff which has the retractable roof.
Most clubs dig up their pitches by start of July. I know first hand how difficult it was for England (Played at wolves ground) to find a venue for last years nations league match with Italy & Hungary.

There are other stadiums like Twickenham, don't they have a removable pitch at Spurs. I know it clashes with the season but you could get a half decent crowd in a cricket ground, they have concerts there during the peak cricket season. I don't know even somewhere like York race course. If you really wanted to.
I hope they realise there is a humongous demand and bring Summerslam or something over here in a couple of years time and hold it in Wembley, and sell near 100k tickets
Saw a tweet that was glad to have Omos v Lesnar not Bray v Lesnar. After the initial shock, I realised I agree. Not at all into the Wyatt character, and him against Lesnar wouldn’t be something I want to see!
The Wyatt character felt quite interesting when he first returned, but it’s reverted back to the same old funhouse shite which is largely cringeworthy.
I think I've seen enough Lesnar V big man matches now. Would be good to see him against a worker like Rollins, Styles, Ballor etc. in a proper match. At least Goldberg isn't on the card I guess.

It was, there seemed to be a story where he was getting blamed for things that weren't his fault that the mysterious Uncle Howdy was carrying out. Pretty sure they ended up teaming together and it died a death. I don't mind the funhouse stuff that much, but the fiend is a good 25 years past being a decent character. I can't stand no selling expect for the likes of Heyman hitting Owens at Elimination chamber. Fiend V Rollins deserved it's worst match of the year award. Perhaps they will reveal Uncle Howdy at 'mania but I don't think many people are interested anymore.
See I actually liked The Fiend to begin with. It felt different and had a novelty element to it. Wyatt definitely needed a shake up, and to his credit - the character did get over very well at first.
The challenge with The Fiend as time went on was that it became quite limited as to what you could do with him. I think Rollins actually commented publicly about it. How can you book creatively around a character that is seemingly invincible?
And to then have him lose to Goldberg in Saudi killed it completely.

Yep, it shows how well, despite more than a few hiccups along the way, the WWF booked the Undertaker for so long.
I am not surprised that Lesnar and Reigns don't want to work with him, I am more surprised that the E want them to. If you can't book the finish, don't book the match.

Well, he’s still very popular among a lot of the fanbase and does offer something different. Whether they get the full potential out of him or not has really been their downfall instead of his. They had something interesting going on with him but have tanked it completely.
And it’s not as if most people who watch WWE are thinking that hard about the booking element to it. Many will just enjoy him for offering something a bit spooky to watch in the middle of a 2 hour show.
There's something I don't like about Moxley that I can't put my finger on, he comes off pretty cheesey. If he was an upper midcarder I won't mind him, but being a main eventer is different. I would say he's was the worst WWE Champion for a long time, I personally preferred Jinder.
I haven’t watched wrestling for about 20ish years now (I’m 36) but used to absolutely love it. Attitude era my absolute favourite and more and more recently I find myself watching old clips on Twitter and YouTube of that era and the two before it, so WWF Raw early years + Jake the Snake etc. Tempting to start watching a bit more these days.

Goldberg, The Miz and even some of the early Roman Reigns stints with the belt were worse.
At least Dean Ambrose was over when he won the belt.
Personally felt they should have pulled the trigger with him a year or two earlier, but Vince was stubbornly insisting on a face Reigns who was getting booed each week.
One thing about Moxley which I think grates on a few people is that every single promo tends to be 100%, full throttle, blood and guts. He’s very good at it, but it can lose its impact if it’s the same one every week.

I think it's because it feels so fake and forced. I don't believe the character at all, to me it fells like he is playing the character he wants to be, as opposed to an amplification of himself.

That's probably it. His walk through the crowd is so over the top and doesn't seem natural.
Goldberg was far worse, mind was doing a good job blocking that out! I feel The Miz got it a couple of years too early which may have negatively affected his career. He has everything to be a main eventer.

You obviously can't play football matches there.
Will be a good piss break in one of the nights though

A couple of absolutely brutal matches
great PPV overall though
Used to watch AEW religiously, subscribed to Fite TV & everything but drifted back to WWE as it’s more accessible via BT & the WWE Network
Great finish with the tough guy tapping to a choke. 👍🏼
