35,000 tickets sold in todays presale. There’s still two more presale days before they’re properly on sale.

Looks like they're going to prove me wrong.  Fair play

Incredible! A lot of us are being proven wrong. Maybe they won't sell the full 90k but they aren't going to be a million miles off.

Still the sceptic in me wonders how many of these were sold to touts and what ticket brands they are. Seems most people like myself have bought the cheapest band, but there's a lot less than 35k of those.

Should be a good event. I'm looking more forward to it now than before. The UK definitely deserves a 'mania/summerslam.

Vince’s detrimental impact has been worryingly instant on the quality of the shows. Very frustrating considering the momentum they had going into Mania.

Very much so. Raw is back to being a dull show where very little of note occurs. I can't explain how little i care about the draft.

Oh the draft was tediously dull. They didn’t even try to create any storylines around it. And it’s not as if it even means anything anyway.

Yep, a low rating on Raw and the following week, baw gawd it's Roman Reigns, what's he doing here? You would think after twenty years they would give it a rest by now.

HHH had a very good PPV record whereby something of importance would happen each time out that was a major talking point.

Backlash historically has always been a tricky event for WWE as it’s often straddled close to Wrestlemania and a draft, so there’s never too much riding on it bar a few rematch scenarios.

I see Cody did his “I have to win” promo again on Raw. They can’t fcuk him over again, surely? We know how much Vince loves Brock…

Surely they do the obvious safe thing and have Brock destory him before he makes his Hogan comeback and wins against the odds.

Can't see myself watching Backlash, although not many returns/debuts on the firat Raw after mania so could there could be some. Pretty sure out of the three men's world titles, none of them are being defended.

I would've liked to have gone to wembley for AEW, but as I suspected, Anything semi decent is over £200 a ticket.  I can't justify that as a casual fan

50,000 sold already for AEW All-in Wembley. Incredible at this stage before the general sale and no matches announced.

I managed to get middle tier for £140. Should still be some of that level out there.

There's tickets in the lower tier by the tunnel for £70. Wish I got them now as there's no chance of our £30 seats being moved closer to the ring.

50k is superb. Should be a great atmosphere, even if Goldberg turns up.

Got a feeling they'll do Danielson v Omega. If the ticket sale speed slows down they may announce Punk to pick it up. I'm edging closer to believing they're going to sell this out.

I have got a couple of the cheapest tickets, the atmosphere alone will be worth it, I'll watch the PPV after on TV.

They have already sold the maximum I expected them to sell.  I do suspect that they have sold all the "easy tickets" it's how hard they promote it now for how many they sell.

I think my prediction was something like 40k! They have achieved 50k with minimal promotion so far. I'm guessing big names rather than dream matches will attract the casuals to buy up the left overs. Assuming there are cheap tickets remaining.

If they do exceed the 80k from Summerslam ‘92, then it is surely the biggest attendance for a show in the western hemisphere outside of a Wrestlemania?

And even then I think only Wrestlemania 3 and 32 can beat it.

Outstanding progress for a company that only formed 4 years ago and has had all types of petty criticisms thrown its way by anyone wanting to discredit them. They’re definitely putting a fair few critics back in their box with these numbers.

I think WCW North Korean invasion has something to say about that! Were some Aussie stadium shows as well.

Wrestlemania 3 and Summerslam '92 had actual attendances far lower than announced.

Yep, hence why I said western hemisphere.

I got 2 tickets for the front row of the upper tier, opposite the stage entrance, 70 plus fees each

Strange the same seats behind the stage were only £30 including fees. Guess they wanted that area filled as a priority for the visual of a  full stadium during the entrance. Clearly that won't be an issue now!

I'm liking Jay White and Jucie Robinson in AEW. Looking forward to seeing them live.
  • Not the best card tonight for Backlash. Imagine there will be lots of fast forwarding when I watch in the morning. Only three matches that I’m interested in;

    Lesnar/Rhodes
    Bad Bunny/Priest
    6man tag match.

The smackdown women's match should be OK.

Judging by Smackdown, the crowd will add one star to every match.

Did they ever explain why Brock attacked Cody? I’m interested to see how they book the match, but it does just feel a bit cobbled together without rhyme or reason.

Backlash was better than I was expecting
