Good half, with only the goal against being an issue. Midfield is dominant, and defence holding out well. The re-worked attack is functioning too, so all good.
Well well well. Who thought we could play attacking quick tempo football.
Plenty of ways to win a game of course, and ultimately it is the result that matters, but that was certainly quiet a refreshing half to watch as a Charlton fan.
Moved it nicely, good width, good link play, always had runners... It's a long way from the low-chance-creation brand we've had for the past few years.
Like the midfield three of Morgan, JFC and Shinnie.
For the goal against, the usual massive hole in midfield on the turnover was on show again. People can bitch and moan all they like about Watson and Pratley but fact is without them it only takes one misplaced pass 70 yards up the pitch and our back 4 are exposed one or two passes later. The flip side is we’ve lived the ball much better and the forwards are all making good runs. We look as fluent in attack as we have done all season. Overall happy with that first half.

Very encouraging.
Still a bit worried defensively but we're playing good attacking Football
Notice that Adkins has changed formation to counter the opposition a few times
Inspired choice to bring on Jaiyesimi on instead of Aneke or Schwartz
How the hell are we currently fifth!!
The most scary thing of that half was watching Watson and Pratley warming up and trying to catch the manager's eye.

But we haven’t won this despite what looks like a gap in class.
