With no Kirk in the Crewe squad today, surely that only fuels the rumours he’s being lined up by CAFC.
    Or Ipswich

Portsmouth were another side rumoured to be in for him.

At this point, you’d have to laugh if he doesn’t sign for us.

Charlton has worn me down so much I’m sceptical we’ll be signing a top young player with actual money.
  • Kirk not in the Crewe lineup today, must be going to Ipswich….

Didn't you read that The Valley has gone cashless ..... ?

    Stamps are legal tender
  • Ipswich’s dressing room must be like a tardis!!

Bloody Ipswich...not everything revolves around Ipswich. B)
  • A Crewe fan that knows something or just sour grapes?

    think or hope!! B)
  • Perhaps Kirk has just refused to where that monstrosity of a kit and will only play away games when they use their away kit?
  • If Phil B is wrong can we swarm him on that tweet?!
  • Reckon he's going to Stoke tbh
  • Can't see Stoke going for Kirk when they already have a good young left winger in Doughty (who is fit to play this season).

Bob’s en route to the Valley I’d hazard a guess so unless one of his passengers answers his phone it’ll be a while yet before he responds.

    Doughty on the bench today

    Or Blackburn.......
  • By being played I wonder if he means his agent / player / Crewe have been using us to engineer a move for bigger fee and better wages. I wouldn’t be surprised.

They spend money for fun. If they want him they’ll get him
  • Oh the whining if he does go elsewhere, be intolerable from some

Not getting carried away by the Kirk thing, especially as there's rumours of championship interest.

Right, it's the nature of the beast that is the rumours thread,.. the more you hear, the more you want to hear, and should it come tumbling down it is intolerable for some , as is said, it is the hope that does for you... B)
  • Let’s hope there’s nothing in the Stoke rumours because if they want him they’ll get him. They do look a little short on wingers though and it’s nice and local for him.
  • The risk of leaving it late in the window and waiting for the "right" players is that we're competing with Championship clubs whose business is also being done late

Blackburn for example are likely to lose Armstrong for a big fee, and will have money to spend.
  • From a personal point of view for him, Stoke would be the ideal, wouldn’t have to move, keep the same groups around friends and family, and in the Championship.

but I’m sure that’s too much nuance for the hard of thinking, who will go into a meltdown and complain of lack of ambition

Oh the burying of heads in the sand and insistence that we are in great shape, will be intolerable from some.
But no one has said that, I know it’s a thing for a certain type of poster to say, but no one thinks the squad is done
