I only ever bet 20p and put on about two bets a week. It adds to the enjoyment for me and gets me more involved in games, without the risk of losing any real money. Won £90 earlier this season on one 20p bet so can still win a decent amount.2

But how is winning £1.60 enjoyment? How could you possibly enjoy that?Siv_in_Norfolk said:
Honestly... nothing wrong with gambling on this level.swords_alive said:Boom!!
 Thanks Shrewsbury
People can add a zero or two to increase thrill level... and potential/inevitable loss
 This is just controlled enjoyment.
I've been working with a tenner since the start of the season on my skybet account. Got up to about 14 quid at one point. Now at a fiver. I like the challenge of working on this level.
Sure...have bet big before and had e.g. a couple of grand riding on Charlton top half finishes (no, not last season!)... but... this is still enjoyable
If you bet long term as a mug punter, the bookie wins
I'd rather lose my tenner than a grand. The challenge of the bet is the same0

Probably. I certainly wouldn’t be bragging about it on a forum though.valleynick66 said:

The only reason why I would never bet low stakes, as if it came in, I'd only ponder about how much I could have won.
I had 40p spare change once and put on a game for the score to be 4-1, it came in and I won £10.20 I think it was.
Just spent the rest of the day fuming I didn't put on £400 quid.
Now I just do my pre-season bets and usually leave it there.
I did Bolton, Boro and Port Vale for autos. It's going well.1

Probably wishing you only put 40p on now!
I had Bolton and Gillingham in most of my pre season accys. To finish top 6/7. Neither look likely.1

Yes, but if you had £400 is your sky rocket, there is no way you would have staked it all on that bet.Braziliance said:The only reason why I would never bet low stakes, as if it came in, I'd only ponder about how much I could have won.

Be happy it happened, don't be sad it's over.0

Not if it took me 2 hours to do it, I had to wait to find out if I could actually keep the money and there was a big risk of me losing it altogether during. Also I’m not sure what that has to do with enjoyment.valleynick66 said:

Shows there strength in depth I suppose.ross1 said:I thought this thread was about George Dobson 😁Here is an update on George Dobson (has only played 1 minute since this article).
He is becoming a modern day Scott Parker (I say this while acknowledging GD is more loved at the Valley, and I am sure we would gladly take him back).1

Anyone seen Dobson’s new hair style. What was he thinking of. He’s gone full Peeky Blinders1

I think George chose to make a trip to Hungary during this, seems he left something over there

Well they have outperformed even my expectations (and I was bullish on them compared to the rest of the forum, p.142) so fair play to them.Callumcafc said:With Wrexham, let’s see them play a few games. Momentum from back to back promotions can take you a long way.
I don’t expect them to get promoted again but I give them an outside chance of getting in the playoffs.
They won’t struggle. Comfortable lower mid table at worst.1

With Dobson as their best midfielder. Will be interesting to see how he gets on in the Championship. Plenty on here think that is beyond him.0

Really he been in and out of their side all season.…. Can't believe Charlton fans are still going on about him... Not in the same league as CoventryAthletico Charlton said: noCallumcafc said:

I thought that was the case as well actually, but on further research he's still played 37-games, and has had a lot of minutes still.RonnieMoore said:
