    Me neither.
He will be a success, and he will always be a Charlton man.
I dont wish the bloke anything but good luck but I doubt he will be a success. I cant see him lasting the season out tbh

Still really really need a left back and a left winger in, before next weekend if possible.

Thought we didn't look a million miles away from what is a very decent Fulham side

Never liked him. Didn't want him to be manager. Did ok for a while so suspended my dislike. His attitude to his players revived it. Glad he went, shame he didn't go sooner.

    Evidently not.

Perhaps the game's already finished but they're not telling anyone?

First team looks good, need an attacking-mided LB to help Washington out on the LW.

Other than just need lots of depth and competition for places. At the moment the first 11 is nailed on only because we literally have no-one else other than Gilbey and Purrington.

Anyway. Over to the post match thread. Is it too soon for a meltdown? Another 3 points thrown away.

No bitterness, just saw the result and wanted to share like we do with ex players.
    With three smiley faces!
Just gritted teeth because it’s a bad result regardless of whether I hope he does well or not.

I'm concerned that we only have one route at the moment. We really lack depth and the ability to change things.
We need to bring in another five players.

Didn’t get to see much of the second half. How did the subs get on?

4 loans pushing for starting spots will take us to the next level without throwing the kids into the deep end.

Well I enjoyed that, thought we played well in patches and weren't outclassed by a side a division higher and with some very good players.
High points were Dobson, Clare, DJ, Innis and Famewo. Stockley tried hard up front but was an extra defender at corners, Albie I thought was bloody excellent, and could be the #10 we need. Gomes did ok when he came on and it was my first look at young Desi when he came on....he is going to be some player!
No-one played badly and I think our chances next season are as good as anyone else's, BUT we do need to add to the squad and get some extra experience in....Kirk would be a good shout and Jephcott if we could splash out and get him?

Competitive across the pitch but really lacking a creative spark / decent final ball. We created v few chances.

I'm not 100% sold on MacGillivray yet.

I expected us to be solid and well organised and by the sound of things we were, bearing in mind we're playing a Championship side expected to challenge for promotion.

But in games where WE are the team expected to win, we do lack creativity and attacking options.

Been really impressed over the course of pre-season, the Dartford game at times probably being the meh performance so far - Overall though its probably been one of the better pre-seasons in terms of effort during what are pointless games.

Just not completely comfortable should we get injuries at present

Yet am still calm and have every faith in the Recruitment team to get the right signings.

Do that and I've every faith that we'll be a problem for sides this coming season!!

    BRING ON NEXT SATURDAY!!!!!!!

Didn't see the game  , but not a bad result against a team that was in premier league last year . Another two or three quality signings will put us in a good place.

A decent work out and we defended pretty well against a side who are bound to be right up there in the Championship. We just need to take a bit more care with the ball and show more quality and composure in the final third. Morgan and DJ always look a creative threat and we know how good Stockley is in the air if we can get the right sort of crosses into him. Washington is a decent enough player but very right footed and, in the absence of an overlapping left back to create space, we will become very predictable down that left side.

We are five players down on last season's squad if we include JFC and it doesn't look as if Ronnie Schwarz will be treading the boards any time soon. With Purrington and Gilbey out as well, I'm sure the club will be working hard to get one or two permanent signings in before we join the rest of the division in the mad loanee trolley dash later next month.

Thought we did well against a very strong Fulham team who will surely be competing for the automatic spots in the championship. Dobson looked class, Albie very promising again with some of his passing. Clare did well too. We really need a Millar type player on the left. Glad Inniss came through unscathed although was disappointed with his long balls up to Stockley who we just couldn't get in the game. Famewo looked very strong as well, some nice turns of pace. All in all I'm happy with that just need to get some more quality players in as soon as we can. Bring on Sheffield Wednesday.

Bit weird that these two played their final friendly against a rival from the same league division isn’t it?

That was alright. I'm quietly confident about the season ahead. We were one goal away from being in the play-offs last season; already we have a team that we can have more confidence in, regardless of who joins or not. McGillivray looks like a decent upgrade. We start the season with our best centre half pairing. The midfield's looking good and although it would have been nice to get a few more goals in pre-season, most of our opposition has been a higher level than we'll meet in the league.  I'm not saying we'll storm it like 2012, but I think we're at least good enough for the play-offs if not better.

I know you guys think Stockley is great but to me he is still showing donkey like tendencies, Ok he can head the ball and it is useful when we defend corners but so far in these friendlies he has left a lot to be desired as our main striker.

Covid has really hampered who you can play. Man United don't normally play QPR etc.

He's one of the best strikers in League 1 in my opinion but is totally devoid of pace so against teams of the calibre of Fulham he isn't very effective without pretty much perfect delivery.

I feel the opposite.  Hopefully im just being pessimistic/ negative.   Feel like the squad is weaker and expected more transfer activity.

Don't have a fit left back, haven't replaced Aneke and whilst our CB pairing is top drawer I will be over the moon if Iniss makes it until Christmas without missing a run of games.   Think Pearce is a liability and Watson is well past it and have not seen anything of him in a Charlton shirt to suggest otherwise.

Think we're a couple of injuries away from battling to stay in the top six.

Really hope I'm wrong but think we're very light going into next Saturday and beyond.

I have no issue with Shockley being first choice striker, I’m just a little concerned that we don’t have much of a plan b. I guess, unless we make a big signing, it’s going to be Davison off the bench.

Need to find a bit of understanding up front and a plan B . Stockley didn’t get a kick today and we looked toothless up front.

    CB’s looked really strong

Shouldnt be too many occasions when he comes up against a Defence that good though

Tim Ream | Tosin Adarabioyo both played a lot in the Premier League last season
