  • The latest ever time in a PL game a team has been losing (94:52) and still won the game.

The previous record (91:14) was the Man City title winning game when Dzeko and Aguero scored in injury time.

That Spurs record isn't going to be beaten for a very long time.
  • That was sickening
the fucking spuds are gonna get champions league ffs
ok it’s a step up on West Ham but annoying all the same and I look at stuff like that as a small payback for when Leicester won the league and spurs came third in a two horse race .

we’ve got some horrible defeats against Sunderland to come in the future

Liverpool took extra covid tests before the Arsenal game that weren't required after the team tested negative.

These same tests were faulty and returned a lot of false positives.

What a strange set of circumstances, what are the chances hmm....

  • Tuchel .. sacked in the summer ?
  • He's been there nearly a year so nailed on for the sack.
  • Spurs, 8 points behind Chelsea with FOUR games in hand.

Conte would "love it" if he could pip them

the S'Hampton manager (name escapes me Hutentutal ?) opined that clubs with games in hand due to covid postponements , when the games are played, should only be allowed to use players on the club's books at the time of the postponement .. i m o a good idea
  • Someone on Twitter saying the commercial manager of the lab doing Liverpool's tests is Kenny Dalglish daughter! haha. Its probably bollocks but it makes for an interesting story.

The chickens are coming home to roost at Burnley, who were taken over in one of those dreadful Glazer style leveraged deals.

Burnley’s owners have delayed making payments owed to former directors which are required to complete their takeover, raising new fears about the club’s financial position.
Sportsmail has learned that ALK Capital have renegotiated the payment schedule of their £170million takeover, with fees worth tens of millions owed to former owners Mike Garlick, John Banaszkiewicz and five other smaller shareholders that were due to be paid last year now deferred until April.
Sources have revealed that payments have been delayed to give ALK time to secure more investment which has largely proved elusive since they agreed to buy 84 per cent of Burnley 12 months ago.
  • Be even harder to secure more investment in 5 months time when they're in the Championship.

Have to say, had thought their takeover had gone a bit quiet.  Heard the lead fella interviewed on Talksport a couple of times last year, they said there was money to spend and they'd do all they could to back Sean Dyche.  Was amazed they sold Chris Wood to Newcastle.  Led me to wonder if they had a cash flow problem as such.
  • I think Chris Wood had a buyout clause in his contract so Burnley didn’t have much choice.

Well that was what the story was, whether that is true or not mind you.  Easier to say a release clause was met than anything more untowards.
  • tear up at Vicarage Road tonight .. 6 pointer+ .. Watford v Norwich

Selling your main striker for 25m to a rival and effectively giving up all hope of staying up versus keeping him and having a chance of survival and getting 100m+ next season.

I think Wood himself confirmed there was a release clause as well.
  • Conte is clearly getting pissed off with Spurs' lack of movement in the transfer window. Especially considering that you'd expect he only went there with certain assurances about them making signings. Smart move from him though, as the fans know he's right and it puts a lot of pressure on Levy.

Tottenham boss Antonio Conte has called on the club to deliver his January transfer requests.

Conte says he has analysed the squad and informed Spurs chairman Daniel Levy and managing director of football Fabio Paratici of which positions he wants to strengthen.

"I've made evaluations about the squad. I have spoken with the club and I hope the club will listen to me," he said.

  • That Norwich kit is a travesty…thinking they’re PSG.
  • Josh Sargeant has scored, clearly he only scores against weaker defences than our own
  • Sargent scores for Norwich, who was truly abysmal at the Valley.
  • Think he meant it, but he just stuck out a boot at it. Good improvisation but average goal.
  • Scouse co-commentator on sky is absolutely jizzing in his pants about that Norwich goal.
Is it just me or was it just a bit flukey? You can’t tell me he meant to do that? Nice bit of improvisation, granted, but not the wondergoal it’s being made out to be.
Exactly. He just flung his foot back as it was behind him. Nice goal but a fair amount of luck.
Carragher talking like it’s next in line for the Puskas award.

Jesus. Is that Carragher? Well that explains it. Clueless squeaky dimwit.
  • Floodlights failure at Carrow Road. Another betting scam...?
  • No problem with the light at all
