Helps that the matches are three sets. The five set matches in the majors are a killer...
  • Murray up to 52nd in rankings despite losing final in Qatar.

Norrie playing Alcaraz in Rio final - Alcaraz seems unbeatable at present.
  • Norrie wins in Rio - excellent victory against
    Alcaraz.
  • Murray up against Hurkacz in Dubai - tough opening match.

    Pulled out with hip injury.
  • Unfortunate news that Murray has had to pull out of the Dubai tournament. https://www.bbc.com/sport/tennis/64783940

After losing to Daniil Medvedev in the final of the Qatar Open in Doha, Murray said he needed to be "a bit smarter" with managing his body.

"Andy has been dealing with a recurring hip injury that has unfortunately forced him out of Dubai," tournament organisers said on Monday.

  • Here in Texas, Raducanu has unfortunately also pulled out of this week's tournament citing tonsillitis...

Such a shame, I was considering picking up a ticket to go and watch. I still could with Dart, Watson and Boulter all involved in the round of 32...

  • Hope her wrist injury will allow her to press on this week.
  • Murray through to Round 3 at Indian Wells. Finally wins a match in straight sets.

    Up against Draper next.
  • Murray through to an all British match with Jack Draper in the 3rd round. Jack Draper beat Dan Evans in 2 sets. Should be a good match that one. Murray looked comfortable and in good shape.

Cameron Norrie looked in good form and playing Taro Daniels, who knocked out Berretini.

I’ve been critical of Raducanu & the never ending injuries but Raducanu is looking stronger physically and in much better shape than previously. Hoping that her wrist injury doesn’t play up & give it a proper go at Indian Wells.

    Norrie playing next on Sunday.

Think Murray will struggle against Draper - a great prospect.
  • Could be curtains for Murray.

Draper is the future, so at some point he will beat Murray. Not sure it will be this time. I was going to say that Murray has a good record against left handed tennis players but figures say that it is slightly under right handers. Saying that Murray's record is excellent.
Murray's fighting spirit, will to win, experience and tactical ability to wear the other player down with adjustment of play is excellent. Murray looks in good shape. Draper and Evans have been practising a lot together and Draper knows Evans game. I think Murry will have the edge on this one. Agree though Draper an excellent prospect and will beat Murray at some point. Tomorrow will be the first time they have played eachother.
Cameron Norrie is due to be playing Taro Daniel at 6pm on Sunday on Amazon Prime in UK, but you could find it on a live stream (be careful for dodgy streams). Winner of Norrie game will play Rublev or Humbert of France in the 4th round.
Winner of Murray / Draper game will play winner of Alcaraz / Griekspoor.
ATP tour site is very good for catching up with ATP and Grand Slam tournament information

Draper is a great prospect, and unlike Emma has been able to build his career out of the limelight.

Which is ironic given that he is the son of Roger Draper who was CEO of the LTA for eight years

Maybe that helped & was the plan ? Raducanu did manage to get a whole heap of lucrative sponsorships following her unexpected US Open win.

In an alternative scenario she would have got to the 2nd or 3rd round and gone out, and remained a relative unknown.

If Boris Becker hadn't won Wimbledon until he was 23, maybe his life would have panned out differently

  • Cameron Norrie shows real grit against Daniel Taro.
  • Murray loses to Draper. Draper definitely looks to be the future of British tennis.
  • On a brighter note Emma Raducanu is into the last 16 of the women's singles.
  • Really good to see Emma and Jack having big wins and being 20 + 21 years old are at the forefront of British tennis. Both have brittle bodies which have impacted their careers but Raducanu and Draper can both afford the best fitness coaches to patch them up between matches.

Jack Draper beating both Evans and Murray will give him massive confidence and proves that in Tennis, nepotism will give you the chances and great training facilities but it's his own talent that has put him on the world stage.

Emma faces Iga Swiatek next so I don't expect her to go further But I hope she competes and finishes the match and her wrist doesn't effect her.

  • Norrie beats Rublev in straight sets
  • That’s an excellent result for Norrie. Rublev is a dangerous opponent and he had Norrie on toast at the US Open last year.

Great results overnight too for Emma and for Jack.

Although neither have been done much of a favour, both coming up against the no. 1 seeds in the next rounds.

Emma against Iga Swiatek and Jack against Carlos Alcaraz!
  • Draper retires hurt against Alcaraz and Raducanu loses in straight sets to Swiatek.

Norrie up against Tiafoe in QF.
