  • And takes the second set 6-2
  • Radacanu still lives with her parents in Bromley, so she's far from extravagant (not sure this means anything).
No she doesn't. I read a while back she had moved to her own flat in west London. Accordingly to those in the know in tennis, her father was exerting too much influence compared to his knowledge of tennis (or lack of)
My niece lives next door but one and told me a month ago she still lives there.
    Maybe she lives at both?
    Seems possible.

Draper won in straight sets 6-4 6-2 6-2 and will probably play Carlos Alcaraz in round 3.

Evans is two sets up against Navone - 6-4 6-3
  • C'mon Dan!

Evans in straight sets also. :-)

He will play Alex de Minaur in round 3.

Hang on a minute… Alcaraz is behind two sets to love against Botic van de Zandschulp. Not having a good night.
  • Another big upset in New York.

Djokovic is out. Beaten by Alexei Popyrin, the Aussie wins 6-4 6-4 2-6 6-4.
  • Only the second time that Djokovic won’t win a Grand Slam in a calendar year since 2010.

The first time Djokovic has been beaten in New York in the third round or earlier since 2006. Against Leyton Hewitt who is Popyrin’s current coach.

Given the choice he'll take winning the Olympics over another Grand Slam. I wouldn't rule out a reinvigorated Novak winning in Australia yet again.
  • Sinner's title to lose now?

Would be great if they could both win, keep alive the possibility of an all English QF.

Unless he tests positive for drugs......oh hold on.
  • Draper and van de Zandschulp underway…
  • Draper wins the first set 6-3.
  • And the second set 6-4. Fingers crossed for a quick finish to this now…
  • Draper about to serve for the match at 5-2 in the third set.

  • The draw has opened up nicely for him (cue straight sets defeat against Machac)
  • Evans about to start shortly for anyone who’s awake and wants some sport to watch
  • Katie Boulter in the crowd - suspect she’ll be supporting her boyfriend rather than compatriot..!
  • De Minaur takes the first set 6-3
  • Fight back from Evans to win a second set tie break…
  • Evans struggling physically now. De Minaur wins the third set 6-0

De Minaur wins 6-3 6-7 6-0 6-0 and sets up an all-Australian match with Jordan Thompson. Evans simply ran out of gas.

Excellent. Am glad it isn't at midnight. Hope it isn't too hot at that time as not Draper's favourite conditions!
