Nothing to get excited about here.  Norrie lost 6-2 6-3.

Perhaps the most notable thing about the match was Norrie getting so angry he launched his racket into the crowd and it struck a spectator.

Stunned that he wasn’t disqualified and got away with just a warning.

Maybe if it hadn't been match point then he would have been DQ, but yes it does seem every strange, bearing in mind previous incidents.

Cam Norrie’s conqueror Facundo Diaz has just beaten compatriot and world number 14 Sebastian Baez 6-4 7-6

Initial draw has been made for Aus Open

Draper (15th seed) v Navone, Norrie v Berrettini, Fearnley v Kyrgios.

Draper has both Alcaraz and Djokovic in his quarter of the draw so a very tough path ahead to make it into the later rounds.

Boulter (22nd seed) v Marino, Raducanu v Alexandrova (26th seed), Burrage v Qualifier, Kartal v Bouzas Maneiro

Fearnley has got lucky with his first round draw at the Aussie Open - up against Kyrgios. Seems unlikely Kyrgios will be fully fit.

Norrie faces Berrettini and Draper plays Navone. Should be an easy enough game for Draper.

Sonay Kartal beaten in straight sets in Round 1. Jodie Burrage through to Round 2 in straight sets.

Jack Draper scheduled on court in around two hours from now.

A bit concerning to see Draper taken to 5 but I see his opponent is ranked 47

Aus crowd now acting like complete idiots and cheering like Kyrgios has won the whole championship whenever Fearnley misses his first serve

Fearnley wins the tie break 7-2 to win 7-6 6-3 7-6 against a very hostile crowd, impressive performance

Dart was a lucky loser and made the main draw after another player withdrew. She won her first round game in 3 long sets.

I watched the first two sets. I had hoped he’d win it in four. He clearly took time to get up to speed after not seeing competitive action since October.

Definitely tempered my expectations for the rest of the tournament. They weren’t that high to begin with because he’s got a very difficult draw.

I saw the last set - great win. Very impressive, looked very calm in the circumstances

So it seems, but I really thought he was excellent - came across as intelligent, insightful, humorous and very surprisingly astonishingly self-effacing

Thought he would beat Navone with ease - Navone has been in poor form. I wonder if Draper is fully fit.

Her loss was on day 1 I think, but it's splitting hairs, she lost either way.  4/5 still a decent start, hopefully Norrie and Boulter can add to this

Draper has a history of being a tennis equivalent to Chuks so who knows?

Raducanu wins in straight sets over 26th seed Alexandrova.
