Really? I went up to Bramhall Lane a couple of years ago and watched Barnet knock out premier league Sheffield Utd. Not saying it will happen, but it’s far from impossible.
Cafc of the 3rd tier get a home draw against a Premier team in the 3rd round and still we get moans; a very unique fan base.
Think it’s more the fact the way the draw panned out with us and Arsenal in the final four left! But Norwich at home is a helluva lot better than Wigan away or similar…
Leicester V Watford with Ranieri link needs to be added to that list and Leicester are the holders too. If they are showing 4 games, I predict West Ham v Leeds, Man U v Villa, Yeovil v Bournemouth and then it is between Kidderminster v Reading or Leicester v Watford.

It will be (newsflash) 11v11, and as it is the cup there is nothing to lose...there might be an agenda for Smith as he wants to preserve premier league status first and foremost. Get in their faces and play loads of attacking players.
i think that's a good draw - of course Norwich aren't a glamourpuss but they are prem, might well play a lot of squad players and if (and im sure jacko will) we play a full strength side it could be a good game with an outside chance of an upset - much better than the shit draws we've had over recent years and should draw a healthy crowd

Why? If they were to rest a few, I can't imagine they'll be massively motivated for the game.
Personally think their 2nd string would still tear us apart. Our best CB isn't even on the brink of their bench.
Hopefully I'm proved wrong and we can get a decent draw in the 4th round!
They'd be favourites for sure, but not sure it's that ludicrious to suggest we can give them a test. But their second string can't be that good, because they're first string are failing and they're not changing the team much. Putting a second team out doesn't mean they can play together, yes they train together but wouldn't have much match practice together which can go against you.
Anyway, as per my post a bit earlier, a lot of premier league clubs played very strong sides in the third round last year so no idea what side they'll put out.

Yeah, because Canaries are going to load up with their high-flying first teamers instead of mothballing them for their Premier League survival campaign, whilst Jacko sends out our 2s so that he can save our stars for our upcoming Division Three title showdown matches.
Dean Smith is going to protect his main men (although I'd be quite happy to see Tim Krul start in goal for them) and JJ will tell his players to go test themselves against lower Prem/upper Champ players.
A good performance, even in defeat, will do wonders for the mood in the first team.
At the very least I'd be happy with a draw so that I could take Grandson No 2 to see a match by the Wensum as it may be some time before that happens in the league!
Decent draw, looking forward to it. Christ knows what some people want
I just didn't want to face a team that we've come up against in the last few seasons
So pretty much anyone in the Championship / League One or the likes of Swindon or Bristol Rovers in League Two - One thing I love about the Cup competitions is the opportunity to face someone new.
29th Dec - Gillingham 1st Jan - Wycombe 4th Jan - MKD (Pizza Cup) 8th Jan - Norwich (FA Cup)
As someone said the other day, not since 1987 have we been in 2 cup competitions at the start of the year.
And then it can't be too often that we've had them both at home within 5 days of each other.
pizza thing is a reserve game and i sincerely hope we continue to treat it like that until we are knocked out - gives us a full week to hit norwich with everything we've got which is what should happen in the fa cup
Fixture scheduling for that weekend is going to be interesting. I should imagine the police are going to insist West Ham v Leeds and Millwall v Palace are on different days, and there's Chelsea, Spurs, QPR and us at home to fit in as well.
If it was me I'd do Fri night (TV): West Ham v Leeds Sat Lunch time (TV): Chelsea v Chesterfield Sat 3pm: CAFC v Norwich Sun midday: Millwall v Palace Sun afternoon: QPR v Rotherham Mon night (TV): Spurs v Morecambe
Police have confirmed that Charlton's home game with Norwich will be moved to avoid a clash with the Millwall v Crystal Palace match as there needs to be significant police presence to accommodate the West Ham fans that the Spanners claim will be causing trouble with the Glaziers' Ultras.

At least we're at home and don't have to travel. Now means we have 4 home games in a row over the new year period. 2 league, pizza cup, FA cup.
