So…who will play centre back for that one then?0

Up the road at the toolbox you'd want both teams to lose, but put a gun to my head I'd want Chrystal palarse to lose.
At least we're at home and don't have to travel. Now means we have 4 home games in a row over the new year period. 2 league, pizza cup, FA cup.0 -

So close to Notts Forest at home bet Lyle Taylor was shitting himself1

Leicester V Watford with Ranieri link needs to be added to that list and Leicester are the holders too. If they are showing 4 games, I predict West Ham v Leeds, Man U v Villa, Yeovil v Bournemouth and then it is between Kidderminster v Reading or Leicester v Watford.0
-
I’m happy with that. It’s a game we could win but if we don’t who cares.2

Hopefully I'm proved wrong and we can get a decent draw in the 4th round!0 -
We have a lot of home games around that period
29th Dec - Gillingham
1st Jan - Wycombe
4th Jan - MKD (Pizza Cup)
8th Jan - Norwich (FA Cup)2 -

I think possibly Millwall v Palace to be added then. I don't expect it to be on TV.0

Norwich have lost in the third round of the FA Cup seven times in the last 11 seasons.1
-
It will be (newsflash) 11v11, and as it is the cup there is nothing to lose...there might be an agenda for Smith as he wants to preserve premier league status first and foremost. Get in their faces and play loads of attacking players.0

i think that's a good draw - of course Norwich aren't a glamourpuss but they are prem, might well play a lot of squad players and if (and im sure jacko will) we play a full strength side it could be a good game with an outside chance of an upset - much better than the shit draws we've had over recent years and should draw a healthy crowd5

And then it can't be too often that we've had them both at home within 5 days of each other.1 -
You can imagine TV picking Millwall vs Palace, and the police having kittens when TV moves it to Friday night1

Anyway, as per my post a bit earlier, a lot of premier league clubs played very strong sides in the third round last year so no idea what side they'll put out.0 -

Dean Smith is going to protect his main men (although I'd be quite happy to see Tim Krul start in goal for them) and JJ will tell his players to go test themselves against lower Prem/upper Champ players.
A good performance, even in defeat, will do wonders for the mood in the first team.
At the very least I'd be happy with a draw so that I could take Grandson No 2 to see a match by the Wensum as it may be some time before that happens in the league!3 -

So pretty much anyone in the Championship / League One or the likes of Swindon or Bristol Rovers in League Two - One thing I love about the Cup competitions is the opportunity to face someone new.2 -

pizza thing is a reserve game and i sincerely hope we continue to treat it like that until we are knocked out - gives us a full week to hit norwich with everything we've got which is what should happen in the fa cup1 -
Fixture scheduling for that weekend is going to be interesting. I should imagine the police are going to insist West Ham v Leeds and Millwall v Palace are on different days, and there's Chelsea, Spurs, QPR and us at home to fit in as well.If it was me I'd do
Fri night (TV): West Ham v Leeds
Sat Lunch time (TV): Chelsea v Chesterfield
Sat 3pm: CAFC v Norwich
Sun midday: Millwall v Palace
Sun afternoon: QPR v Rotherham
Mon night (TV): Spurs v Morecambe2 -
That'll do, they make changes and we can do it!0

Police have confirmed that Charlton's home game with Norwich will be moved to avoid a clash with the Millwall v Crystal Palace match as there needs to be significant police presence to accommodate the West Ham fans that the Spanners claim will be causing trouble with the Glaziers' Ultras.
