Happy with that. I live in Norwich and always hope we draw them away so I can walk to a Charlton game for a change instead of driving over 100 miles! Generally do ok against the yellows
    Me, too

    Hoping for a replay :)
  • Finally a home cup match where all the stands will be open……can’t remember the last one outside the premier league.

Premier league team at home, personally think it’s a great draw.

Norwich fans seem quite happy they have us.
They're some of the nicest fans in the Football League - They'd find a positive out of anything
I’ve always found them to be the complete opposite whenever we’ve played them. Very arrogant and always trying to tell everyone why their club is better than anyone else.
Well, I've lived here 25 years now and have a good few mates who are Norwich fans.

Not sure who you've met or what you were drinking/taking at the time, but one thing that Norwich fans aren't, is arrogant.

Like the city itself, it's a really decent football club with a fanbase that has realistic expectations and who understand the club's limitations.
    Ok?

Ive known a few Norwich fans from my younger years who I found insufferable and were incapable of talking about anything without bringing it back to Norwich every single time. Had similar experiences with them at games against Charlton.

Didn’t realise it wasn’t allowed to say anything negative about Norwich!
  • It'll be weird to be playing MK (H) and Norwich (H) within a few days of each other in two different cups.

What would've been even weirder is if we had drawn Arsenal U21 (H) in the PJT and Arsenal (H) in the FA Cup. Arsenal might've played the same side (or close to) in both fixtures!

Is there a confirmed date for MKD yet out of interest?

    Week commencing January 3rd.
  • I can see the Liverpool v Shrewsbury getting a TV slot.

Did they play each other recently in a cup, or am I imagining that.

Hope so but I wouldn’t bet on it just yet.

Yep. 2-2 in the FA cup last year. Replay at Anfield they lost 1-0. Was that when Liverpool were on club world premier championship division whatever the fuck it’s called? and Klopp wasn’t even present as Liverpool fielded what seemed like an under 16s team.
  • Decent draw this.
Premier League club at home, possible upset and getting into the 4th. Round.
We are LEAGUE 1, Right?  Improbable it may be but at least there's a chance, given our opponents circumstances.
Why some are disappointed we won't be knocked out by Arsenal is puzzling to me. Is there some kind of status in that?

I can remember an old Div 1 match vs Norwich at Selhurst in the late 80’s which we lost , maybe 1-0. It was dark days for Charlton, a home crowd of well under 10k, probably not much more than 5k, maybe bottom of the league and they were singing  ‘What’s it like to have no ground’!!!ffs. No great respect therefore for Norwich fans.
I wrote to Lennie Lawrence after this match ( no email then!) and told home to keep fighting, no matter what. He sent me a brief note of reply expressing ‘Tks’.
The story had a happy ending - we miraculously avoided relegation - and Lennie remains a Charlton legend. The story of the ascent from the ruins of Selhurst back the Valley and the journey since is one of the great football stories and hopefully will see us restored again to the pinnacle of English football over the next few years.🤞
So let’s win this match and put those Norwich fans back in their box.
    Just checked my facts 🤔
Maybe we did get relegated that year (if it was 1989/90) but the taunting of the Norwich fans was not appreciated.
This is not the time to get mad, however - just get even!
You don’t remember in our first season relegated to this shithouse league (2009) for the first time in 29 seasons when we were relegated and bottom and we helped send Norwich down beating them 4-2 and plenty of our fans taunting Norwich and taking the piss out of them

    Millwall Vs Palace :D
On the one hand, one of them's guaranteed to go through, but on the other hand, one of them's guaranteed to go out. :)
Not if the winner gets thrown out of the competition for crowd trouble.

    One can only hope.

Is that the new spelling now we're owned by a Swede?

    Shit draw
    Good daw

    Winnable
    No chance

    Saturday
    Sunday

    TV game
No way will they have that on the box

    Boring
    Exciting

Thirty-two combinations.  Who's up for a game of third round draw bingo?

I agree @Airman Brown, but they'd probably rather QPR weren't playing the same day as Chelsea.
I'm sure a month or so ago, Chelsea played Brentford, the same day as Fulham played QPR.
Chelsea were away, that would make a difference.

    Danish.
  • I wonder if we are forgetting how big the gulf between League One and the Premier League is. I don’t give us much hope unless they play a weak side and we play well with a strong side.

I think that’s the hope. Norwich are a Premier League team in name, but reality occupy some sort of netherworld between the Championship & Prem. So there’s a small chance, if they take us lightly, that we could do it.

Decent tie in my eyes, all of the complaining & moaning from our fans (especially social media) is a bit odd - the phrase “luck of the draw” exists for a reason.

  • A good draw, a chance to see a few first teamers and some u23’s from Norwich, hope our lads are buzzing and up for it, and the players as well.
  • Well at least the Covered End can sing the Adams Family song.
    Nooooooo

    Proper fans.
  • Perfect tie, winnable, but no disgrace if we go out, just a shame we didnt get Forest so we could have let Taylor know our feelings, but there again he would probably have got a minor knock in a previous game.
  • Might give this game a miss as a hear the Palace ultras will be in the area.
Just tell them you're Wall and they'll run a mile.
  • I'm sure they'll rest some players but their game before us is 1 Jan and their game after is another week later. Plus with a new manager and the window open by then they may even have made a couple of new signings early in the window.

What was the name off the 'away' pub at Norwich back in the 90's....not sure if it's still there now.
