  • Not surprised with any of those matches on TV. Imagine we won’t be on the Saturday then.
  • Not surprised Millwall Palace has been chosen, but as it's a Saturday lunchtime fixture, surely we will be moved to Sunday now as the police won't be able to do both games.

Just one team below the Championship now on TV and two Premier League games

    Port Vale v Brentford
    Charlton v Norwich

Have the gaps between the two levels that would be guaranteed a TV tie in the First / Second Round

Or Friday night or Monday night.
  • I know its done purely to get ratings in from the big fanbases, but as a neutral I have zero interest in United/Villa and West Ham/Leeds.

Don't Man United have some sort of extraordinary streak where every one of their FA Cup games have been televised for something like 15 years?
  • I assume that due to those buggers Millwall playing on Saturday our game will be moved to the Sunday.

They're both playing each other in the league within 2 weeks of the FA Cup games too. Chelsea v Chesterfield would have been a great one to pick

I never knew Jason Bourne was taking such a close interest in fixture scheduling. Not sure it'll be a very exciting movie

But plenty of scope for entertainment if it's an FA "black ops" exercise to remove the Spanners and Nigels (amongst others) from the competition.
  • 2pm on the Sunday
  • Naff. That will knock the gate.

Also disappointing that only 10 of 32 ties are being played at 3pm on Saturday. The spread around the weekend, even for games that aren't on TV, is less than ideal.

    Friday night: 1 game
    Saturday early: 6 games
    Saturday afternoon: 10 games
    Saturday late: 5 games
    Sunday early: 1 game
    Sunday afternoon: 7 games
    Sunday late: 1 game
    Monday night: 1 game
  • 2pm on a Sunday? Really?!

I struggle to get down to Charlton in time for 3pm kick-offs so a 2pm start is a real kick in the sphericals.

Looks like I might have to attempt to blag a couple of spots (me and grandson no 2) on the NCFC supporters' coach ... ;)
  • Works for me that time slot as i have to be at work at 7pm that day.

  • Not a surprise at all. Cant stand Sunday matches, but hopefully be the only one of the season.
  • 2pm on a Sunday is crap - will massively effect the gate.

Not sure we'll make it, will very much depend on Sunday football timings
  • Very disappointed that Chelsea v Chesterfield and Tottenham v Morecambe aren't on TV over what has been chosen.

    Hull v Everton??? WTF
Same reason they didnt show Charlton vs Truro a few years ago.
  • Magic of the cup

6 games on an early KO on the Saturday. unless you're on TV or it's by police demand, wtf is the point of moving it from 3pm?

    I am.
Although local to us it's not of much interest to anyone else. Two of the most despised clubs ( for different reasons) in the country.
  • Watched Villa v Norwich highlights on Match Of The Day - Norwich's defending was absolutely abject. Let's hope that continues!
  • If Pukki plays against us then they will cause problems.
