England bucked the trend there, but took some exceptional batting from Buttler, and great death bowling fielding. SL gave it a go though, but nice to know that England have it in the bag, and must make other teams look up and take note that we can deliver despite the toss
Morgan is currently ranked the number 16th best T20 batsman in the world. Oh and the one below him is Buttler!
Which proves the rankings are rubbish. Buttler's my no 1 & Morgan is also right up there for me.
Buttler is right up there, yes.
Morgan has been absolutely terrible for a very long time. He was terrible for a long while tonight before he got a couple away. This was his best T20 innings in about a year and it was a run-a-ball 40
Kinda hope we throw it against the Saffers. Australia would love it
I’m a bit behind on this, but just for clarity in my own mind…
Assuming SA and Oz win their games in hand, but without absolutely walloping them, am I right in thinking we’ll probably only have to avoid an absolute drubbing against SA to go through due to our very good NRR? (Presumably, as we beat Oz, while Oz beat SA, we would then have all beaten each other, so it can’t go to head to head results?)
Also presumably, your comment is based on Oz relying on us beating SA because Oz would finish 2nd then, due to having beaten SA, but an SA win against us makes the situation less clear cut?

Brilliant.
Shows he was paying attention to Jordan Cox in the T20 final a few weeks back ...
We are the team to beat.

No 2 teams can get more than 8 points & England have a much superior run rate.
