One of the things that the Pakistan batsmen have done really well is to use their touch to make twos on this big ground rather than trying to hit boundaries and only ending up with singles
I layed Pakistan following the toss to get less than 165 - at odds on
Just for @Chizz because you clearly enjoyed a "LOL" at my unsuccessful lay, I do hope that it gave you great pleasure, I could have traded out my lay of 165 at 1.91 average following their slow start (at 3.00) but chose not to. That's the way it goes.
I will also confess to having layed Bangladesh runs earlier - 135 (@ 2.30), 125 (@1.66), 115 (@1.35) and 100 (1.14). I've not had too many sleepless nights worrying about laying runs in many other matches either. The markets have adjusted to the conditions out in the UAE but there is still an element of backers expecting runs as there are punters wanting goals in a game. Apologies if this undermines your excitement at my failure but I certainly won't lose any sleep over that unsuccessful lay of Pakistan's runs.

Updated results of the Super 12 matches and the scores attained by the team batting first.
Still just the one winner from those teams scoring less than 160 and all the successful defenders of totals doing so have been against teams that qualified for the Super 12s - with 3 of the 5 involving the totally outclassed Namibia and Scotland:
55 Lost 84 Lost 109 Lost 110 Lost 118 Lost 124 Lost 125 Lost 134 Lost 142 Lost 142 Won (West Indies beat Bangladesh by 3 runs) 143 Lost 147 Lost 151 Lost 154 Lost 160 Won (Afghanistan beat Namibia by 62 runs) 163 Won (England beat Sri Lanka by 26 runs) 171 Lost 189 Won (Pakistan beat Namibia by 46 runs) 190 Won (Afghanistan beat Scotland by 130 runs)
Watt with a wicket with his first ball. Three very good decisions by the Umpire, Ahsan Raza - one LBW and two catches by Cross. Will be interesting how NZ go from here especially with Guptill still at the crease and his appetite to go hard all the time

Well Guptill is going hard. Very hard in fact. An excellent unbeaten 92 off 53 out of 150-3 off 17
Phillips just 33 off 37. There is a "but" though as there's scoring at a strike rate of lees than 100 and scoring at a strike rate of less than 100. Phillips hit just one six and no fours. Hitting boundaries but chewing up balls in between is absolutely no use especially when the guy at the other end is a Guptill, Buttler or Maxwell. Phillips didn't do that and enabled Guptill to do what Guptill does best.
Stupendous response from Cross to the last over from Milne which was a maiden and where he couldn't lay a bat on the ball - this one goes 4 4 4 4 4 and dot
That's the quickest a post has aged badly I've ever seen
To be fair though, Crossy really didn't look at the races in that first over. Milne wasn't very clever in the second though as there was no noticeable variance in pace and Cross just sat back in his crease knowing what was coming
Fair to say Cross was well and truly done there probably more by the ball jagging back than the pace. An innings of 27 off 29 balls that included 20 off 5 balls and 16 dots either side of those
He's represented your club very well, and may have a cookie
One of "my" clubs but not the one that Seb has played for in the last couple of seasons since he left Bexley to the one I played for (for 30 plus years at that) namely Sidcup. Not that Crossy has played for Bexley in the last two years as he went back up to Scotland

Scotland will do well to get near that
As far as I can see, the last time he played County T20 was in 2019 for Derbyshire. I'm sure a few Counties will be looking at him
