why ? .. we urgently need a striker and it doesn't look as if there is one coming in soon (if ever) .. as I wrote SHORT TERM  at least
Because he’s crap. We need players better than the options we have or at least the same level as Washington and Stockley.
you've seen him play regularly have you ? .. stick to writing your pretentious previews and write what you know about

    Chill out.

great stats .. :however, Lincoln have signed 2 on loan, no perms as far as I know .. both came from Swansea .. I am told that Morgan  Whiittaker, one of the loanees looks like a right good catch..

the lack of perm deals must indicate how little money there is to spend down in the lower divisions .. the pandemic and closed grounds has cost clubs loads of cash .. also, is the quality of available players up to scratch ?

The website I pulled from has Liam Cullen listed as a permanent but I see it's actually a loan deal. I didn't cross check every transfer, I assumed the website source would be right. My mistake. :-)

People did this all through summer to try and escape the fact our recruitment wasn't good enough.

Stop trying to excuse poor performance.

Not excusing anything - trying to present some facts without an opinion attached.

Perhaps missing out on him and Louis Barry wasn’t so bad after all.

Might be one to keep an eye on. Didn't get many minutes under the Cowley's.

Not really true though there’s been 77 incoming transfers made already in League One. We account of 0% of them.
    Love that response.

"We're just like everyone else.....no-one's bringing in players"

"Errr.......take a look as I think some clubs have - just not us"

    Love it.

  • Confirmed Wood to Newcastle and Digne to Villa, both £25m
Anwar El Ghazi has gone the other way, on loan to Everton from Villa

Where did you get 77 from? That's an average of 3.34 transfers per side spread out across the other 23 teams in our league.

The list I posted above clearly has some errors in it / slow to update by a day or so but I count 25 which is a massive difference to 77.
  • Much friendlier on the other thread.

Burnley have done well there hpldomg out for the release clause - he's not been as good this season as others, for a start.

4 good years out of him, £10m profit at 30.

    Need to replace him though.
I'd like to bet no one within the Burnley camp feels that way, least of all Sean Dyche. They've lost their main striker to a relegation rival at a time when their top scorer Cornet is away at AFCON.

If Burnley go down they'll lose a few more players (Cornet, Tarkowski, McNeil etc) and i think they'll struggle to get back up.
  • Jonson Clarke-Harris is leaving Peterborough in the window. Sunderland look like getting him. Sandgaard should go all out in getting JCH. If we can get him and a sharp goal poacher the rest of the squad will feel it worth running for an hour and a half twice a week. Currently they do not have that.

If you were him though, what possible reason would you have to choose us over them? They can probably pay him more and they're in the promotion hunt.

Peterborough have denied the rumours though and even if they did sell, i think the price they'd want for him would rule out a league one club. MacAnthony won't sell cheap.
